yeah it was a great drop. i got in a little late but still made 70 pips. now for the rest of the day... what will it do?

wow my analysis was 100% correct...once it broke through 1.3882 it dropped quick!...i didnt benefit but oh well cant catch all the rides...in any case....i see a good entry point to short right now on a retest of the lower wall of this descending triangle...if it doesnt do that...ill remain flat as catching falling knives is a thing of the past for me and profit these past few days has been well beyond my goals...good pippin to all!

This is the trading801 boat update ( since everyone posts their updates i shall too to join in the fun ... but since i am a fundamental based trader, no charts these are my opinions only and i blew my account 3 times )


Ok, the story so far, shorted since 1.48 22 SEP

Now that it "seem" to be breaking the previous low of 1.3882 plus the time it took to reach here again from the high of 1.48+ ( very fast ) i am very bearish inclined.

However, i am not adding new shorts for now despite my trigger finger telling me to.

1) NFP is tomorrow
2) House of reps are gonna vote again.
When the vote was rejected, i thought my short trip is over. But it went more. Hence a possibility that the market may not like a bail out.

Best reason i can think of is it may flood the market with lots of USD

It is interesting to note that if no bail out happens and companies fail, massive USD actually goes to thin air, creating a shortage. Prices go up then.

Will move all SL to 1.4173 ( my previous high for this current down trend )

Next possible adjustment of SL to be done when london close.

( remember, i blew my account 3 times previously )

Didn't like the chart I tacked on to my previous post, this one replaces it. Turned the fib a'rd to reflect price direction in extensions instead of retracement mode, as that should be more appropriate to where I think it's going. Mo Down.

If that big nasty long term TL is bothering you, delete the thing and trade the price action. That's what I do sometime. Take your chart, remove the prices, pivots, fibs, TL's, and everything else, and ask yourself "WWJD?" If it looks like a short, drops like a short, and pays like a short, it's probably a short. Sounds overly simplistic, but try that in ADDITION to your other analysis tools and see what changes.

Lose the fear, and trust your eyeballs. Sidelines are fine for certain situations, but get in the water somewhere. Use a smaller lot size if necessary till you get the rhythym. If you're stuck like a deer in the headlites, you're probably oversized or over leveraged. If i'm on the sidelines, there's a mighty good reason for it, and it's not fear.

When reading all these posts about when to get in, and what direction it's headed etc, I look at almost any chart except extremely low TF's and only see the obvious. I'm selling rallies, and staying out of any and all longs under any circumstances. That means no counter trend scalping or anything else like that for me TFN.

I'm not in the "It's really an uptrend still, it's just having a couple thousand pip retracement" crowd." Whatever. Trade your charts, I'm trading mine, and the losers I've had the last week or so were all longs, therefor no more longs for me. I'm currently almost 400 pips on EJ, 250 on GY, and +300 on EU.

I posted several charts over the last few weeks that show price getting to where we are (and beyond), and why. No mysteries, no secrets, no bs. Acumen and Suntrader have done the same.

At some point, all this forum noise will hurt you more than it can possibly help you, and you'll need to turn it off. Try that now and then. If I see someone not posting anymore, I don't assume they blew their account, I assume they pegged their bs-ometer and couldn't take it anymore. Good on 'em.

This is what I have: We made a new low, but it looks like its trying to climb back into the channel. I see strong resistance at 3882, if it can even make it that far.

Edit, looks like it is trying really hard to break that channel wall...

The question is, as always: up or down?

I think if we pierce that channel wall and it stays there, then up slightly until stiff resistance at 3882.
