Price made it above 1.3974 and is still above. If shorting, this is a prime area to enter. They could pop it above the "100" level (1.4000) for themselves to short there, and maybe wait and see if they do. There is time and room to wait, as if this drops then any entry 1.3975+ will eventually look real good. Just an opinion.
fully agreed good job!...when the market first went south(before the vote) it lacked my #1 indicator....the bearish sentiment....when it drove up...again it lacked the bull sentiment......prime target to short was the upper wall of the triangle which is exactly what it tapped...i shorted at 1.3994 though still good...the bearish sentiment is very much alive now! just one support to pass...the lower wall of the triangle..a close below it on 1h chart is ideal!

And, yes, probably by taking out stops....this was all on light relative volume. This is a nice reminder that neither the market nor the borkers, not even our brokers, are friendly. They are adversaries, trying to get our money! Trading with stops they can see is like dressing in all red and entering the ring with a raging bull!

Psiholog, I am not skilled enough to call a single price for a short entry. So I spread mine out as it ran up between 1.3978 and 1.4010 entries, as you can see from that last chart. And now we wait some more.......

no worries man same thing here...to say an exact entry point like algirdas does suggests insider information to me...i donno but anyone who makes such a call without proof of why they do it is fishy...no offense algirdas you the man!

yeah, ej gets a bit tricky. I think you pointed out some time ago that it was a product of euro/dollar and dollar/yen. Can make some serious moves. Don't want to be on the wrong side of that trade. nite all

true story and will smith portrays it well....to come from nothing and become everything...that is huge inspiration for the "little man" like myself too ...he almost lost hope a million times but he persevered...why?...for love of his son..for a better future...and because he knew he could do better...a job he desired....i feel the same way about forex... i feel i was born for it

on another note...the lower wall of the descending triangle was extended 2 and a half hours ago...sorry for not posting did not think about it....so now it is still acting as current support as shown by the current tap of the line in this last hour

M15 chart now shows the light relative volume on the push up thru the high quarter (1.3975 - 1.4000) to above the high whole number (1.4000) to a high of 1.4013. It shows the heavier volume back down due to heavy short trading that took advantage of the pump up to start shorting. On this chart, the price is now ranging between the fib ext. levels of 62% and 162%.

H1 chart shows the persistency of the 100% level (about 1.3959) as support until the market decides finally how to respond to all this bill activity....which won't come to a conclusion until Friday sometime. But this chart clearly shows the trend is down. So, for the purpose of short term trading, and knowing how the big players hate for prices to linger, I should not be surprised if they push it down this session to the next whole number, 1.3900, just for their purpose of cashing in on some of the short positions they have taken on. The have plenty of time to pump it back up to repeat the move.

From a Long Term perspective, this is getting exciting. Long Term monthly trendline from 2002 finally broken at 1.3980. That trendline should act as resistance now. The only thing left is to push past 1.3880, the last low from from Sept 11. If that happens, the route is on and we will at least see a wave C of an A-B-C correction pattern. Maybe it will not stop there and we will see a classic 5 wave and full trend reversal. I am not sure where a C wave would end, maybe a person more well versed in EW theory could contribute. There should be a big fight between .3980 (strong resistance) and .3880 (the edge of the abyss for Euro bulls). I know the fundamentals stink in the US, and have for a long time...but USD has all the momentum right now, and we all now that law about a thing in motion...

it has bounced off the feb 2002 trendline twice in the last month, so are we going up or down?
