you really think there will be no immediate impact?...hmm lets consider this...monday...eur/dollar did what it did...stock market had its worst day ever...1trillion poof....and you say today there will be no reaction because its expected?...im sorry but that isnt logical to me considering the magnitude of the news...the whole world is watching and need the confirmation to boost their morale in the american economy...even if its just step 1 of 3 steps required..now the senate...then the house then the president..each step will have its own reaction..thats just my opinion though

Question, does anyone know how Algirdas arrived at the TP of 1.3940 in his latest chart? I'm scratching my head on that one, because I show once we decisivley break 3980 the next TP is 3882....

i dont know how algirdas does what he does but if you take alook at the descending triangle on 4h chart...that is the exact point where the lines intersect

it didnt reach my short position at 1,4085 so i am short just below my pivot instead at 1,4065...Any thoughts regarding take profit? at 1,3980?

If you are short, I would hold on to your shorts, at least until 1.3980, then take profit of 50% and ride the rest down. Just my opinion that's how I'd do it...

Oh put a tight SL on that remaining 50%

Acumen,i have a question for you. how do u get a new pivot point for an entry.my pivot for the day is .4179. i'd appreciate help.
i dont know how to make an entry at this point. thank you

when it comes to fibs for a big move the trend area is usually between 23.6% and 61.8%...that is exactly what eur/usd has done for several hours. now it looks like 23.6% is trying to become resistance and if that is so...a new low should be made soon...matching my 4h candlestick below 1.4000 assumptions...maybe haha well see

yeah...considering the time...and that the bailout plan vote wont be done until the asian session...we may have to wait 4 hours or so to see the next big move..or maybe well reach that 1.3940 by then and see another big move then...lol...time will tell


Edit: i am currently flat...made enough pips for one day...will reenter after senate vote...im expecting a spike up before a move downwards so dont want to risk leaving a position open now...thats if the vote even passes....anyways i suggest to you all to be flat at that time unless you like gambling...good pippin all

You are looking for price to touch the PP or Psych level... retrace and the move back to that level.

Does that make sense?

The Chart's don't lie - as long as you read them correctly....then of course you have the anomaly's, however that's why we always trade with stops...
