Well, nice point-of-view...

But he refuses to throw an analysis on the overall economy. His scenario is a valid CHART scenario, but he seems to believe that the worst it can happen is a "sharp decline". Ok, he will sit tight and then fish the bottom, good for him.

But what happens if unemployment goes to 20%? He refuses to answer things like that...

That's the problem with those against the bailout plan: their alternative cannot be said in broader terms... Let banks fail!!! Well, several banks already did. If there is somebody else to fail, it is the average joe now.

Gotta tell you this. I'm glued to Bloomberg, CNN, BBC TVs and CNBC, Times websites for 5 days now. I've seen tens, maybe hundreds of commentaries. Most of them from former finance ministers, CEOs, economists, journalists, BSers, everything.

The only thing in common is the "I don't know" when they start to answer. Each one of them has different opinion.

To me, that's how bad that is: Nobody knows how bad that is. So bail out everybody and work your asses hard to profit from the $700bn.

That "tax payer is gonna pay" is bullshit. If Paulson / Bernanke are going to do exactly as they say? THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE CONGRESS SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT!! WATCH THEIR ASSES THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS!!!

it will be even worse if they keep proping up a flawed system,

a drug addict needs COLD TURKEY!! tough medicine, a year of pain to rebuild, not more and more shots of drugs when the buzz wears off

this will end with ultimate destruction of dollar as reserve currency and loss of US as global power... read George Soros latest book interesting read....

yep after main street wakes up to realise the cheque will be signed to bail out Bonehead Paulsons friends on Wall Street and ZERO benefit will go to Joe Public... especially when the bonehead is exempt from any repercussions when he leaves his post in DC in a few weeks/months and goes back to wall street.. this is beyond a joke now!

Let us not forget that we have the NFP on Friday. When it comes out -150k job loss, unemployemtn at 6.3%, everything will change.

Looks like they are gonna try to ram it through tomorrow. Only change to the bill will be to add the raising of the FDIC insurance cap. My mistake...Senate is voting.

this is the best roller coaster ride inthe park!!!! if we sold tickets to the roller coaster freaks of the world, we would have enough money to bail out everyone!!!! they would never get off!!

as for the seatbelt, i think i will pass. i want to get all the hot, mostly naked females posted in this thread, put them all on a big waterbed and lay in the middle of them and enjoy the turbulence

Man, I'm not seeing anything about that Vale x Xstrata deal anymore. Not even my bank, which is recommending heavy buy on Vale, mentions the deal as a reason to.
