I would stick with a real account, just go with one with mini or micro lots. You can trade for as low as 1 cent a pip. But it's best to stick with one that involves real money to help get a handle on fear and greed emotions.
can you suggest a broker that gives micro lots then? im using FXCM and they have micro acct so each pip is worth 10 cents. havent really tried out other brokers...plus fxcm lets me fund with credit card. so im getting 1% back on my bad trades!

We have seen several price makers ( banks fallover)..
Credit is getting tight and the likes of hedge funds who also supply liquidity to the wholesale market will dry up.
Expect spreads to widen.
Brokers who continue to offer tight spreads will find themselves losing money.

Does anyone have a clue which direction this pair is going? I thought for sure Asians would send this up north. They must be drinking Sake

Woh what a day. It's times like these i am glad i am only using a total 2% of my account on all open trades. I would have suffered a margin call now if i did not take the advice of the 2% rule from other traders here. I am completely staying out of the asian session today.

Something doesn't add up. If you look at USD/ JPY, it's much LOWER. This implies USD is getting weaker. But JPY just posted their unemployment rate was worse then expected. So logically, you would expect USD/ JPY to get stronger.

So, back to EUR/ USD, if USD is getting weaker (by above scenario), wouldn't you expect the EUR to be soaring?

You are correct.... way to much volatility and uncertainty at this time.
However I am continuing to short the EUR/USD with reduced position size.

The zone has a laundry list of issues also.

Until we get a bill passed or not I'd be taking short moves or sitting on my hands.

with the package being voted out, less pressure on dollar now, thus EUR weakening. or some such.

Im hearing massive buying USD/JPY by japs at their fix this morning plus its their half year end so usd short cover..
Once this is finished expect it to come lower again.
