Best to let markets settle for a day before picking a side....I'm done with 250 pips for the day.

"more than 900$ billion dollars has been erased from the stock market today".....bloomberg headline....that should tell you people who are against the bailout plan just how necessary it was

please define erased, do u mean cashed out? I was under the impression that each loss was someone elses gain.

Psiholog, agreed. the entire credit market were pricing in the bailout. It's looking really, really bleak. If you think about it, 1929 was caused by a series of spirals, including failed banks and plummeting markets.

wow. I was out this afternoon.. and closed the positions... because the risk involved in this situation... and.. I see a 180 pips move in 10 minutes half an hour ago... !! What happened?

Haha. Wait til tomorrow. Asia and Europe will probably lead to a tripling of that figure. The Hang Seng had already tanked 4% yesterday.

ah well. What's done is done. Got to focus forward, I guess.

On the individual front, I understand why they would not pass the bailout. But on a macro-aspect, it is quite unbelievable. Fallout's going to be nuclear tomorrow.

You have to figure the euro banks are the next to feel this pain. And in the past in the the face of a global recession the US has been the safer bet.

Anyway I'm not trading more for today, this wired ride up earlier made me a good pips so far

i forget who said it but they were dead on when they said "black monday"...not just the stock market...but for the country as a whole...this day will be forever remembered in history as the day the worst possible decision was made...instead of put the ground under the falling knife so it stops... they transformed the knife into a katana

Where was the money coming from. Why does the world caution America that they don't have bottomless pockets, but then get outraged when America finally agrees. If I had to pay for that nonsense I would never work again, why would I want to pay taxes for this mess? Why Why Why should I or my mother, brother, father sister or neighbor pay for this? We all agree we would rather live on the street than be forced into slavery to pay for this.

I think the the USD dint get hit because this is a global problem Eur will suffer even more than the USD
