That's certainly debatable. I believe it was around 90 or so Dems that didn't vote for it.

Going on a 2 day road trip w/o laptop. Maybe go find Suntrader and start a hog farm.

Closed remainder of my last short from 4490 at +40 pips while the inmates are in charge. That was after scaling out most of it at 4330ish so I'm happy enough with that.

Not scaling out of positive trades in this market is loony imo. Have a couple EJ trades running with pips locked in, but since that's off topic and someone will get in a twist, I won't mention it.

All in all, this still beats working for a living. Could be worse.

I don't believe it. The Americans didn't pass the vote. Do the Republicans have any idea how much havoc they'll wreak in the global markets tomorrow, just for the sake of political show?

I guess they really want McCain elected.

who cares anymore...trust this government to do the best thing they can do to try save the economy and they fail miserably

add on top of that the senate on holiday tommorow(some jewish holiday)..tells you who run this country...clearly their intention is for a great depression to happen

i can see it already...most major banks fail...credit frozen...lending stopped...bankruptcies running rampant...many americans homeless...and to top it all off...the dollar will be toilet paper

Maybe this financial Pearl Harbor, can get a better stop gap measure than this nonsense. That plan did nothing for the folks that would pay for it.

The media and government spokesmen brainwashed the public with fear, fear and more fear to move too quickly.

This situation is bad, but what they proposed was nonsense, now they can go to work for the voters and put together a rescue that is based on intelligence not promoting fear to take advantage of the public.

maybe this bailout plan was a last "gift" from the president to his friends and inspite of all the regulations they put in (there goes the free market) the whole plan was still too fishy and that's why it was turned down. I'm sure that the people in congress turned it down with a reason... the rejection = doom as you stated, but we will see in the following weeks/months. What i mean is, if the US economy doesn't collapse like a house of cards it means that there was really something fishy with this plan and that the congressman had information. Turning down the plan won't have such consequences as we are told it will have, we are talking here about a lot of money. I'm sure the plan would have gone through if a no no meant DOOM to all.

well, i was selling last night and this morning. now i'm looking for buy opportunities, it looks like we're headed back up to .46 but rangebound until the deal is done.

Republicans what to abolish mark to market so they can inflate valuations on assets.

All of a sudden republicans are concerned about the taxpayer, when all they have done over teh past 8 years is increase our debt limit to point that allowed all the fraud. It's a mess.

I agree what stank is how much money our dear Secretary of the Treasury had of his own personal wealth at stake.

was it just me, or did MBtrading not honor any limits or SL during that whole fiasco... I took a risky move and tried to buy at market, when chart read 14410, but it MBT gave me a basis of 14480!!!!????!!

price action is going crazy at the moment. i bought at market and was about 8 pip higher(long position) as i saw it. hight volatility.

it's probably the spreads or the market moves to fast that they can't give a definite quote..it usually happens when a big news comes out..i don't trade during the news..its either before or after
