Hey guys, you people move at the speed of light and I'm doing my best to keep up. If this information / contribution is outdated, forgive me.

Anyway, ronzzer made a really great contribution a little ways back - a script that does the original hedge, a script that buys all 14 pairs, and a script that sells all 14 pairs in the hedge, and it even added the m's at the end of each pair for IBFX mini account holders. However, it didn't trade the 14 IBFX pairs, so if I am understanding correctly you just had to go in, change the pairs, recompile and save. Well, that's what I did.

These are the exact same files that ronzzer posted, only they are now set with the 14 IBFX pairs. Hope this helps someone somewhere to save a couple minutes of time

It's also my first attempt to post anything, so hopefully someone will find a use for them.

I modified the EA on post 693 so it should sort pairs in descending pips order. You will have to look at the orders routine as I see you have modified something since post 693.

I understand when we have to open orders but when should we close them ? Is it at our own discretion ?

HOLD ON a bit guys,
Im catching my breath here, That whats happend if your getting old with no exercise except the fingers....

TC..can you explain to me like im a 5 years old the EA you just posted? is it for the IA or to be used by the TA, Im a bit concern that it might be different from basic method , maybe with your explanation, i will be clarified.

Dont just grab anything posted here, if you notice something not comforming to the basic send out a clarification notice. We have been bombarded by a lot of smart and talented minds here that our average intellect had a hard time catching it up.

To all contributor,
I am not discouraging you to contribute but PLEASE understand there are newbies and average traders here even some that dont know MT4(they are using OANDa and the like and they love it). PLEASE consider them...

Hey TC, great work So this EA constantly checks the 7 Sells and the 7 Buys (IA account) then when does it decide to start to trade the 14 ALL at once ?? what is the TF setting for? If I run the EA on a 15M chart should I change that setting to 15? Sorry, just confused on what the specifics are with the EA and when it places trade.

Talented Programmers, you guys rock!

However, I do find that your products are killing each other. people just don't know what is what and which to use.

I do recommend:

1. attach a short manual/instruction describing what it does, what it doesn't, and under what circumstances.

2. at least say this is an EA? indicator? or a script, becoz not everyone is so clear about this.

and at this point, when programmers tend to repeat each other's product, please DO NOT post more .ex4 files. I hope that it is understood that it's not so advanced/secret that a .mq4 has to be withheld.

btw, did anyone program that 40 pips stoploss in? i feel that it is an essential issue?

If we use 40 SL, will this system work ? T101 ? Will the SL get hit easily before you can even TP ? Coz T101 didnt really put in the 1st page 40 SL as part of the system

my question is - when I attached this EA to my chart it does not show anything (except that the EA is attached), no text, values etc. Should I wait for market to open in order to have the EA working and displaying information?

TO ALL - consider this trendchaser's EA at this point like an INDICATOR. Finito, do not confuse yourself. Trade should be disabled. Maybe later with trader101 help this will evolve towards fully operating EA. At this point we want trendchaser's EA to replace IA (Demo Account Indicator). We wnat exactly the same data from IA to be displayed ON the chart, so there is no need to keep any demo account open anymore. The benefits are great - you will be able to have IA data on your live trade account without opening any real trades.

And thanks to guiomdetalle we should be almost there - although I cannot check now how it works as on my charts I have no data displayed.

guiomdetalle - can you do the magic with the script from post # 703?

Dear Trader 101 did mention 40 SL a couple of times in his later posts. So guess we need him to clairify this SL issue.

Well said that SL is air, SL is water. SL is our lifeline, hoho.

And this great yet simple system to me, is a very reliable "Trend - Judge".

However, how reliable is it? ultimately, the question still remains
" when will the trend change? "
even it is 99% accurate, we still cannot survive without a SL.

As to the respected Brijon's "100% hit rate", i only want to say that it is only for him, not for anyone else that I know. I mentioned this, just want to remind some of you that it is not only entry or Take-profit so wonderful, but a reasonable SL as well. so that a great system is perfected.

Yes. Trader101 has already incorporated a 560 pips SL into the profitlock EA. It is 40 pips for each pair, and nt 40 pips for all 14 pairs. I hope that addresses the confusion.

its supposed to match as if you opened 14 trades on a demo
im basically trying to move the orders you look at in demo, to the chart on your real account

so far the main sig says buy if more of the buy pairs are in positive pips than the sell pairs

what we need is to compare this to the demo trades, which i dont have

the latest version called T101, the buy sig isnt right

but 1 pair can be 0 pips, and another -80
basically hes closing with equity then, if you set a 40 pip sl on all trades, in my experience, theyl get hit

Sorry for my stupidity, if there is a 40 pips SL for each pair of 14, and 5~6 are losing trades, but 8~9 are winning trades, i mean, supposingly.

for example, a scenario,
you place trades of a basket (14 pairs), then you go to bed, next morning, you get up, and find on MT4, 2 or 3 pairs may have been stopped out last night, and the 10~11 pairs left are producing maybe a few hundred pips profit.

So do I simulate this scenario correctly?

If yes, then this system is more and more like the NO1 trend following system I've ever seen in my life, hoho. thanks to Trader 101! Next time I go to NY, I'll buy you a dinner.

I would like to say that this is the most interesting way to look at the forex markets I have seen. I like it enough to put what little time I have into analyze this further. And I like it enough to write an "external to MT4" windows program to do so.

As I have learned (since MetaTrader) has been available, it has always had many limitations. I have written many programs that utilize the MT historical data/real time data. I have never shared any of my programs until now. Hopefully this will make things easier, and help us learn how this strategy can benefit ALL of us.

Please keep in mind, this is going to be a long term project for me. But, with T101's permission, I would like to post my program on his thread. Since it is not an EA, I want his permission first. I do not want to hi-jack this thread with a custom windows program that may not work for all (but is my goal to work for all.) The inherent danger in doing so would be that this thread gets watered down with bug reports or technical questions which I do not want in this thread. The answer may be to start another thread.

Anyway here is a glimpse of what I'm working on...
-You can select any date in the past (for available data) as your starting reference date, and find the real-time position of all 14 pairs. No more waiting for days/weeks for a starting point to settle down.
-You can run multiple instances to compare different dates.
-Future. Simulate trading, walking forward bar-by-bar.
-Future. Real-time alerts. When does your anchor pair get dislodged?

I have an indicator that exports the required data to your MT4 files directory.

This is not what the first release will look like. This is only a structural logic display for my internal algorithms.

ok the version he updated, the last 7 pairs were backwards
