only trading AUDUSD and EURUSD. played with GBP before, got burned. trying not to spread out too much, i tend to lose focus and dont have enough time to analyze [i'm actually at work right now].

Looks like you may be right. I went long at 1.46444 hoping to ride it up to the top of the channel with a TP at 1.47200. I think I shouldn't be trading today.

guys i just realized something that is crucial! we were in an ascending triangle for the past 2 weeks until it broke up sunday. since sunday we have been in a descending triangle. the middle wall has been acting as intermediary wall for both triangles and we have reached the end!...a breakout will occur very soon...the trigger...the bailout plan later today time unknown direction unknown.

does anyone here think it will ever go up again.i think it is bound for a very hefty fall now.i have not made anything since morning and i am just about to go shorts with all the money in my account.die once they call it...........................................lol

I'm trying to scalp in the channel. I haven't seen any real indication it will break out. I will go short for the long term when it drops below 1.46000

yes... and we are in a crucial moment in general in every market... a big breakout could happen.... to not allow people to reenter and miss it.. or if not... a series of false breakouts could happen and more ranging...

I'm currently long at 1.4620.... after a nice down scalping... stop at breakeven

well we must see for the changes o weekly as well as mothly timeframe candlesticks
although i took a long at the monthlytrendline which is following a doji in + 200 lets see for the weekly close

very important point in my opinion which will help us decide our long term target!

Anyway, just got up and reading back posts with coffee.. all shorts (except one) hit their tp's or trailers. Fascinating.

I'm letting everything run down to clear the table, clear my head of bias trash , and look at the charred and churned up landscape with a hairy eyeball. At least until the next big mini rally (oxymoron there?) and then I could see myself succumbing to the temptation...

Oh yeah... I forgot to draw a squiggly red line pointing downwards under the current candle to indicate my bias. The trashy one.

This makes it seem like you were waiting for a H&S pattern to develop, not a profit target.

I am looking for a simple but pretty accurate system to trade the EUR/USD with. What is the best one out there? What is this going to do today? seems like is isn't going anywhere.

One thing about having a bearish bias, which I too have.

The last 3 days having not taken out the wide range bar from Monday. Unless we trade lower below Monday's low very soonnnnnn I would think that is showing building strength - trading has been in the upper range half of WRB.

Now if Congress gets their act together then we will see a direction clearly.

No such thing.

Systems are only a small part of the game.

Money Management is the key.

The question you need to ask is: What kind of trader am I?

Long term?

Day trader?

Swing?

An increase in the value of the euro last night was just a mere response to market demands, and prevented me from losing around 1.000 pips, thanks heaven I didnīt close the order and this morning I happily found that the losses disappeared or rather swaped for a few pips on my favor
