i dont think it is a false breakout. pretty soon it should move lower. with investor again finding some confort on the $700B bailout. i think the congress is under pressure to pass the bill or they might be held responsible farther worsening in the us economy. $700B could move the euro lower if the bill is passed
i dont think it is either. that's one retest. but until it breaks the lower bar of my sideways channel that we've been in since tuesday. I cant say for sure.

i am not also having it that good.blown my account once and when i was just picking up things went really bad again.i am back for the last time though with the last of my cash and i would do everything possible to make up this time.i wish myself the best as i want to be independent by 30 also.still just 23.all the best dear friend.you would make your money back soonestttttttttttttttttttt

didnt break it. still in the sideways channel atm. wonder what effect the talks this afternoon are going to have on this pair. the bush speech last night killed all my positions.

the best of luck to you too oolides. i really suggest you take control of your emotions when trading. it makes all the difference. i also suggest you stick to your plan. let me remind you my money management for the time being. 1:1 ratio winners to losers but 2:1 ratio profit/loss. in other words i can make 40pips on a trade (or more) and lose 20pips on a trade. if i mantain this ratio in 20trades per day(my limit) i am guaranteed 200pips. once i have my own money again i will include scalping in my methods but thats another story. i really suggest you have a concrete plan and stick by it...and always try to gauge market sentiment and trade in the direction of the trend as its most likely youll have a winning trade. right now there is no trend...we are in a neutral zone...a channel 150pips wide...buying at the low and selling at the high has worked wonders for me ....still...a breakout could occur today or tommorow so stop loss is a must!. also when it comes to entry/exit points...ask yourself before placing a trade...is this place suitable to my strategy...also works wonders

dont know for sure man....but it doesnt look good for the pair today. i think we might go down and test 1.4600 before heading back up or breaking lower.

Anybody got a technical or fundamental explanation for this sideways market? I caught the massive rally Monday and took a really nice profit. Now I'm trying to trade the channel and failing miserably. Thoughts on what fundamental or technical reasons are keeping the dollar from taking a continued thrashing?

I might (doubtful) be more polite, but you are better at admiting when you are wrong. I'm working on that part though.
