Back to the drawing board. No more trades based on monday open price.

That or I pay for a good feed.

Hello Fellow traders,

For those of you who use MT4 I here attach an indicator that is capable of showing (visualy with lines) the average daily range and the actual daily Range (dring the actual trading day).

PLEASE, THOSE OF YOU WHO USE IT, PLEASE CRITICISE IT AND HAVE AN EMAIL OR PM SENT TO ME WITH DETAILS.

The red line is a static line = AVG. Daily Range. Therefore, it can be regularly broken.

The violet line is dynamic and it follows the actual days range.

Of course you can change the color of the liness...

The indicator can be used in any time frame and can be used to render not only the daily range but alo the weekly and the monthly as well.

There is also the option of chosing the as many days as one wants for any range.

You can remove the middle of the range line as well.

As we don't have assistants like Mr. Toshchakov has, we took the liberty of adding sound and email alerts when price touches one of the lines (top or bottom).

As for periods, I have used 1 for daily, 5 for weekly and 22 for monthly. Of course, I could be wrong.... Any tips on this anybody? As mentioned above, you can try any number. We have to find something optimal.


I remember you all that this is a PROTOTYPE. I count on you all that regularly participate on this great thread to help us all develop this project to its fullest correction.

I would like to thank the "team": Belekas (introduced me to the programmer), Ulterior (Great and fast programmer) and my self (brain or lack of it ).

One last question: Do we have actual interest on the actual days range and the average daily range?Both? Just one of them?

This visual indicator together with the famous Batfink indicator, should be able to provide us with a nice tool.

I wait on your comments and critics for improvements.

Hi Again,

Attached follows a picture of the indicator plotting the the AVG range and the days range for Geppy.

You might also be able to see that price on H1 is currently inside a diamond.

Combining those two, I guess we could visualize better some templates from Igroks Methodology.

We truly hope that this will help at least some of you.

The reverse of GBP is the the low of 2004 which formed a diamond.

Cause they are not bottoms. DB & DT must be at the very end of a trend.

While we're on the subject of USDJPY - are you still aiming at those sky high areas?

I understand that in terms of USD bullishness it would make sense, however given that we've witnessed the JPY being stronger than the USD even as it gained against other pairs due to risk aversion, would this pair perhaps make an "exception" to those projections higher?

I know I've asked before, but given that we've now begun marking the 104 area as an "important" border, it just seems that there is now a certain attraction for the market here for the next time it comes back...IF it comes back that is..just curious whether you're getting any new input and scenarios on USDJPY as price paints in more information over time.

Btw - my Gold non-diamond may not have fit diamond shape, but boy, it sure did reverse that price!

So far I couldn't see any need to reconsider my previous view. After reaching it's objective target based on MACD daily divergenece, USD/JPY is doing what it was supposed to do and perhaps will form another diamond on daily soon. Whether it will be a reversal or a continuation is hard to predict now but on the long run it still has a better potential for going higher from here perhaps after spending some time in ranges that are yet to be defined.

Seems 162.80-163.10 could be a legit EJ target for the next week.
