For all those EU bulls who say the trend has changed from bearish or the others who point to a freakin monthly going back more than a year who say it never changed to bearish and is still in the same bull run from '01. Did you notice that pathetic (most recently) GU set a monthly high on Wednesday meanwhile EU still has 240 pips away from doing the same.

Having said that I do think we will go higher, but only to go lower still in the future.

It'll go up...It'll go down....It'll go sideways....all part of the samsara of the markets....one things for sure...the Central Banks wanted a stronger U.S. dollar and the Euro below 1.4 and they got it.

This deepening financial crisis was been on the cards for some time (no M3 data anyone??) and will reverberate through the world as the Asian & European banks exposure becomes known.....

I'm neither bull or bear....I just deal with whats in front of me....like buying gold on a breakout play yesterday

No mate I don't but I would expect some consolidation here....it just made sense to play a breakout as I'm sure people will be looking at increased security for their funds.

With the CB's moving the market around as they are, there is no respect for pivots, S/R etc....you are sometimes better off waiting for the periods of consolidation and breakout trading.....or trading the gaps on a bunch of pairs at the start of the week and taking the rest of the week off

I'm curious as to which kind of Pivot calculation you are using.
Online daily pivots (standard) for EURUSD are shown as:

R3 1.4756
R2 1.4570
R1 1.4447
PP 1.4261
S1 1.4138
S2 1.3952
S3 1.3829

which match my MT4 PP indicator with 1 or 2 pips difference.
62 pips is quite a lot.

1.4199 is shown as Demark's S1, though.

okay, I concede that bbl oil @ 100-ish is reason to sell EUR, but so fast and so furious(ly)?? man oh man...

How far past a Pivot or Sup/Res do you have to wait before you can feel it will continue? I have seen it where it will hit P/S/R and turn around. Seen it hit the P/S/R pause then continue. Seen it hit P/S/R pause move on pass the P/S/R and turn back.

So I have been in after it passes it only to go the other way. How do you know?

The Pound spiked, peaked and rolled over earlier last fall. Euro recently rolled, over. The pound is in worse shape in my opinion. A huge amount of their GDP is "financial services," and I am not sure sure how much volume there will be...but on second thought. hmmm

Good action here though lately on buying the dips. Jut did a 5 minute trade for 3.3% on the long side.
