One Global Currency {parity}, Never. But, perhaps 2 or 3 Majors is feasible somewhere in the future. EUR/USD @ Par would be similar to USD/CAD @ Par. Could happen but won't last.
I think he needs to realize that people in other coutnries make different wages and costs of goods are prices differently as a result. minimum wage in England is around $50K. If people at McDonalds were making 50K a year, yeah than maybe there would be parity in the GBP and USD, but a big mac would cost $10.

UK min wage is 50k? Huh???

Uk pds 5.52/hour is the national minimum wage workers 22 years old or older.

Doesn't add up then.

Hey man, glad to see you awake. I just returned from 5 hours away, playing golf in weekly league play. I lost at that, but today was a great forex day, thanks in part to you. Recalling our conversation earlier, I got mine (all the way to 4075), and you got yours (4220?). I hope you don't mind, but I also got 44 pips of "yours". I rode with you to 4200.

Believe me, as much as I appreciate your analysis, I didn't take trade blindly. My system indicated a buy, so I rode along. It was kind of a dumb trade, probably. It took 6 hours to close it, and thank God I had a 100 pip SL. I really only did the 100 SL because of all the volatility we had today. I used 100SL (affordable) most of the day. I usually only use 30-40, maybe 60.

Learning a lot listening to all of you, and my man Acumen's approach to trend lines, psychs and pivots has helped tremendously.

So the feds are bailing out AIG. What will this do to the eur/usd?... and more importantly, when? I notice nothing is happening yet, but the markets are not open. Just looking for any insight... such as should I stay away as I should have today.

dont you think eu will go up and up and up and up everyday,
you must look Oil ad gold, try to look Eu in down, because in downtrend now
look 4 h and Daily, don't try to speculation in forex.

I was referring to equivalent in USD. The average wage in UK was $50K, perhaps more when the pound was trading 2.12-2.20, so I stand corrected about my incorrect usage of "minimum" wage. I was trying to make a point about the income level relative to cost of goods. I was not trying to mislead.

The average wage in US...is less than 50K.

DD9, if you don't mind, I'll share something with you that I think I learned in this thread. Don't worry - or even care - what the Fed/AIG decision does to the market. Be sure that you have developed a system or method that repeatedly enables you to watch the pa (price action) and react with a buy or a sell (you really don't care!) that will make you money.

One of the biggest things I learned here, in addition to the above paragraph, is money management (I lost a lot of money by not using stop-losses). Perhaps the biggest single benefit was running into the 44-year old diaper dandy Acumen and his pivot/psych method. I simplified my charts, added a couple of quirks that I picked up along the way, and shxt! I'm making money. I repeat, I don't care what it does to the market. Following fundamentals too closely causes me to lose focus on the technicals.

My 2 cents, which ain't worth 2 cents.

Wouldn't it be a lower risk trade to buy at the "top" of the second shoulder? Then you could put your SL below the low of the shoulder, and you would have an early entry.

Only 1 yesterday, but typically 5-7 trades/day. I did not mean to say that I'm the most successful trader on the thread.
