Amazing. It was just in the middle of completing that double top drop but abviously the news broke the move. Scalped a few pips long, they were in delay allright.

Everyone still think it is heading up? I have a long that is down about 15-20 pips... been ranging alot this morning. Not sure if I should exit or stay in it.

Just looking for some thoughts. I'm kinda new here. Just went live after about 2 years of demo. Wish me luck... lots and lots of luck!

Hey, -113! The best shape I've been in in at least 2 hours

Seems to me they're gonna stop out some folks before letting it shoot up to my margin call

at this time only scalping should be done...buying on the dips selling at current resistance...its still too early to fully confirm it will go up...you could even say its gambling

Thinking out loud. The whole financial mess was caused by giving more credit out than the participants were able to pay back most likely due to the theory this action exceeded income/profit growth. It is bigger than housing but housing is a big factor because real estate “was assumed” to be an asset that would hold or increase its value.

I bring this up because if the government is skittish about credit and the big participants are skittish about credit, think of the traditional purpose and impact of reducing the interest rate. See the conflict?

Now add in the conditions in Europe. In this environment with these variables what is the probability that a rate cut would impact the currency market in a traditional way? In the short term due to this mess and the impact spreading out like a wave, the Fed could conceivably anticipate the loss of jobs and an increase in government expenditures etc.

If it were me and I had OMC abilities I would see if there was cooperation with CB’s around the world and put and keep currency values around the world in a range I would consider a “sweet spot”. This gives the big boys who need to step up and take over the vacuum in the credit markets time to do so and the government time to figure out how to control them.

Summary, with nerves where they are, keeping in mind this is a global economy not a US economy, why would there be a definitive direction of movement in the short term? Have no bias and take advantage of what you see not what you think.

Yup. 174 weekly pivot, 282 weekly r1, feel free to trade the range until it breaks out.

SL, always. Not sure of the trade to put one and a comparable or better tp size - don't enter. All big losses come from not having it.

If you've been successful for the last 2 years on demo, then keep doin what you've been doing, and don't look for what's goin on here of all places.

You don't need luck, you need to focus on your trade, and not be listenin to all us whack jobs here on this thread.

Come back and let us know how it went...

I'm kind a fresh-ish on the currencymarked, but regardig the rate-cut today; Will this help the US economy at all? Will the EUR boost up against USD when the cut is official?

Some how I keep saying to myself that the USD will rise against EUR due to the creation of "false safety" (due to the rate cut).
