Announcing what you made/lost (which is done all the time around here) is another way allowing emotions into a trade and as well wanting to prove yourself right.

Sounds like Dr Phil or Dr Freud maybe.

No one likes to hear though and I had to learn it the hard way but keeping emotions and opinions out of trading is the only way to be around for the long haul. Free advice that many will find worth the price paid - nothing.

i read alot of both your post. Great advice and a also ordered that book you suggested from your site, can't wait to get it . again you guys keep up the good work. This forum is great and I am learning so much from all of you.

Yeah wasting my time on this board cost me at least another 75 pips it seems.

I made my 10 and run away long time ago Anyways, if there is one thing forex trained me is to be happy with little. Btw, I slowly realize (via demo trading) that I hate NY session. Switzerland / London cross is so much better and predictable.....

I kind of like it when people analyze, they might bring to light something I might have missed. I don't trade though unless my system calls for trading. Never trade someones advice blindly.

I don't take offense when someone shouts with glee how they longed EU even though it means the US$ goes down then, if it is based on the current trading environment. I would probably be long with them too.

But when they openly defy what the markets are doing now and show their ignorance strickly to "protect" their currency and their vanity then it is easy to see they are letting their emotions get in the way.

There is another psycho-babble one that says blaming others for your loss is the loser's way to explain why a trade went the way it did.

Quit while you are ahead or check the emotions at the door. Or not.

Check out the daily bar that is going to be coming up here in about 13 minutes. It's looking fantastic for a short opportunity.

Chart 1 shows price busting thru the upper BB on 1hr at very near the end of the hour. Price usually retraces.

Chart 2 shows why I entered short off the 3m chart at 4308.

Chart 3 shows my targets off the 20m fib of the last price move. this would be a typical scalp for me, in what I consider to be the current downtrend.

Nice extreme range entries folowing the type of price action I'm looking for and giving me good targets. I can also use fairly tight stops with this method as the price action itself acts as a sort of brake on price going higher. Usually...

Targets being hit as I type... back to trading.

PS Let me add this is a simplified version of the actual charts I use. Not everything is shown to avoid confusion. The point is to have a system and know what it's telling you and follow it. That will either make you pips or minimize your losses.
