Its in the warehouse because nobody is purchasing it. Inventory in excess indicates consumers are not buying which is indicative of a worrisome population concerning the economy.

I think they mean as long as inflation is within a normal range, that prices rising mean demand is higher than supply. So, I it has to be interpreted along with the actual inflation rate.

When business inventory is up, it is because people are not buying, not because they want to feed it to the rats :-)

I think what today's numbers said are:

Consumer sentiment on inflation is down, so in general, the consumer believes that inflation will not get out of hand. This sentiment probably relates to the recent drop in oil.

So, the consumers' confidence is higher, because they do not see rampant inflation on the horizon.

However, business inventories are up, which means that people are not confident enough to actually spend their money;

So, this points to an easing in rates by the Fed, because now they don't have to worry about inflation as much, but the consumer needs an incentive to buy.

Sept 12 (Reuters) - The euro rebounds further after poor U.S. retail sales and falling PPI, and is likely to extend the rally toward $1.42 into next week's FOMC policy meeting, Ashraf Laidi, chief FX strategist at CMC Markets U.S., writes in a note. 'But we do reiterate that in order for the euro to prolong any gains past one day, there must be positive fundamentals from the euro zone,' he says. 'The last time the currency has made two consecutive daily gains was in August 18-19.'

yes!!!...first take profit hit finally at 1.4149....now for my smaller position at 1.4180....not that it makes a difference...woot a good friday for me...140pips gain so far

thanks...am trying to outgrow my scalp only methods
on another note...we just passed the 50% fib retracement for the week...came back quickly from that level...if its decisively broken next target is 61.8% fib which is 1.4215...we may get there today...insane

take a look at the weekly chart, if we hold this current level(or higher), there will be plenty of buying opportunities next week
