Let's take a look at the Pivots during the EURO session.

Price moves to S2 before the EURO session begins.

That's flag number one.

80% of the time price will retrace any Sunday gap. (Flag 2)

Price makes a second attempt at S2. (Flag 3)

We are still trending south long term. (Flag 4)

Lot's of flag waving.

Lot's of signals to short this pre-session move.

Once she begins to fall we hit R1... bounce... then to the PP. (Notice the retrace after moving through R1)

We hit the PP then bounce again.

Then we move to S1.

S1 acts as support.

Truth be told - moves are rarely this easy to pick out.

This was as close to text book pivots as your going to see.

I enter and take profits at psyche levels and pivots.

Sure - more trades - I miss 30% of the entire move but my drawdown is absurdly low.

I always hear Buffet's words reverberate inside my skull when I'm trading..."It's not how much you win if you are right... It's how much you lose when you are wrong."

When you realize this game is more about capital preservation more than capital appreciation your outlook changes... that's why money management is the single most important aspect for longevity.

Crude looks ready to roll over. Trading in a range $106.75 - $107.20 for an hour. Now at the low of range and weak.

Agree on capital conservation! Is there a handy website to get pivots or do you compute your own?

Meaning... if Oil moves south the dollar moves north.

Meaning... this pair will fall if oil falls.

I have live data that I pay for. Someone else will have to tell you where free charts are available.

Rolling over is when there is more volume on down bars than up bars. There was also a cluster of doji's.

Here is a 5min chart. Question now is whether it will break Daily Pivot/Weekly S1 Levels:
