if the euro-zone economy doesnt change soon then we have to wait 'till the elections, if thing went toward the dollar's sake then we might see the euro somewhere around 1.0
I recommend you read something else as this sentence is now concluded.

This gap thing is really a bad phenomenon as it has nearly wiped out my account. Ithink I have learnt a new lesson again.

Same here. Lost 100 pips.

Well, I told myself already last week that I will never keep a position open for longer then couple of minutes anyway. This one was very unfortunate accident. It is just that last week was full of bad decisions and accidents.

Glad I did not over leverage... Killed ~1/3th of my account (almost 10'000 USD) but it could easily have been everything. Todays loss is technically the one from last week This week should be better.

Just super excited right now. Made 200 pips already since the market opened.

I love this, so glad I got away from stocks.

All my positions are closed right now. I went short on a couple pairs and made some pips and got out.

So far so good. Just trying to find the right entries.

as far as gaps go ... how far do they usually "fill" ? that is .. a large percentage of the time.

EDIT: I must add. the volatility with gaps ... is ... somewhat frightening.

If you are losing 33% of your account you are assuming too much risk. I "traded" for 2 years before I figured out what was killing me--leverage and pip value. Pip value is most important. I am now a profitable trader by observing the iron rule: $1 pips for every $1000 in the account. Do this and you will always live to fight another day. Good luck.

It was <30%.

Well, your Iron Rule is also mine. My pip value was even less. I just managed to loose over 400 pips together with this weekend gap disaster.

It seems no matter what I have done, I done it wrong. This was first and last week when I tried to do longer term trades. Next time perhaps after I recapture all what is lost, which will take couple of month.
