At 1.4450/70 it is recommended to evaluate the activity development of both parties according to the charts of shorter time interval.
For short-term buyers’ positions on condition of formation of topping signals the targets will be 1.4510/30, 1.4570/90.
An alternative for sells will be below 1.4380 with targets 1.4320/40, 1.4280/1.4300.

once 15 was broken it became support, once 30 was broken it became support. lets call them support 1(15) and support 2(30). if support 2 becomes resistance again, support 1 is still support until broken. if support 1 gets broken too, the last strong support is at 1.4465, if that gets broken....all this has been a false break up and then the selling continues.

Oil seems to be getting repelled, euro also, a bit soon but I think the downtrend train has departed. Enjoy the ride everybody who shorted the top now. I believe this should continue and then we'll get ECB talking and visit 43's neighbourhood. Let's see..

Boy, I sure glad I dumped my shorts yesterday

Question: I am a newbie and just added Gold and Oil to my ProRealtime subscription.

Somehow I feel that at least now it is Dollar, what affects price of Gold and Old what affects Dollar. Am I wrong or right here?

well see on the hourly charts


edit: btw i am mostly a scalper, i have a bullish bias atm i admit, which means i buy on any retracements using short term fibs at 61.8%
example, last move up just retraced 61.8% to 1.4505, as i was typing this post i didnt place order. my stop loss would have been 10 take profit 10-30pips

Oil's flying up and EU's just standing there.. Maybe they're expecting a double top on oil too for the time being, just got a bit more to go.

Maybe, or maybe lots of smart asses like us thought they're getting double tops on both and got loaded up on shorts with tight sls ripe for the taking just above. But a good r:r and reasonable probability trade is still that, so why not.. Just the news thing isn't so good in all this, remains to be seen if the good euro news and bad usd news expected will be overcome by a bad ECB statement.

one thing is clear though. today is nothing like sunday-yesterday. the pair hasnt crashed yet in fact its been hanging at the high all day, making higher highs and higher lows....

I think today will be up, there is a pin bar at daily and head and shoulders / pin below the last autumn consolidation support.

HOWEVER there is german factory orders coming out and always when the last number has been minus and somehow forecast is positive, I usually don't believe the estimate. That estimate sounds too positive to me and I anticipate that the actual number will be worse than the estimate. How that affects price I have no idea, I think it will give nice buying opportunities if you are bullish at the moment. I'm long at the moment and I'm going to be flat when the numbers are out.
