All of that is not close to the reason of this surprise of the market movement.

GDP beat estimates by 0,5%. Have in mind that those estimates were made with Fed action already priced in. If Fed action were the move trigger, only possible moment for market to react on it was when action was decided to be made. Or, of course, in the case of bad GDP showing Fed action not strong enough to fight - dollar would be falling severe now.

This move is not sustainable, IMO. I have shorted some more, making 1,475 an average entry. But now it is a solid stake.

Short 3 lots.

No stop needed... don't use them.

What a mountain, haha.

I shorted this one several times, last one was at 1.4800,

Will break even at 1.4776 but hope to see it go to 1.4766

What would the long term FX ppl say to this prospect?

Should I dump the positions if it reaches 1.4776 (If it gets there at all) or hold a bit more?

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I have read pretty much all the posts and have read where you have come back !! saved by the pip gods. I really like this forum lots to learn, still a newbie and try to read as much as i can and learning a lot from my mistakes.

I shorted about 10 lots at 1.4800 and closed at 1.4778. Nice scalp. Thats it for me for today.

oolides, if you trade in e/u and g/u, you are doubling up your risk.. these 2 pairs are rather closely related.. best to concentrate one 1 pair first till you are more skilled and confident.. and if you REALLY must do more than 1 pair, trade other pairs that do not share the same risk factors to diversify your risks.

Pre candle..looks hammer with PB to the low...
Cur Canle....Looks inverted hammer with PB to the high...

I don't get it anymore...

Yeah coming down , this time my tp only 40 at 1.4760 but if retrace again will close with profit & do short again at the top.

But in this way of trading you don't care where cross pair goes.

Simply look at todays USDCHF and USDJPY chart. When you see reveral on USDCHF bought this two pairs and USDCHF goes down and USDJPY goes up because of CHFJPY.

The same with EU, GU and EURGBP.
