there are times when the candles will tell you one thing but the market does its own thing and the factors driving that market determine its direction. right now we have many fundimental factors that are driving this dollar rally and geopolitical events as well.
Candles will give you a better direction from the longer TF's more so in todays market then ever before as we are becoming more and more a global marketplace

Hi irish, nice to have you here. Candlestick learning is easy, you can spot most importend after a few days practice. They are most powerfull on daily timeframe and higher.

Is it usually drop on thursday when retail traders cover long positions??(carry trade)

i see 1.80 for USDLFX weeKLY then a small fall that can will be a retracement for other pair aganist USD

gbpusd is falling
audusd is falling
these are by reason for increase demand for jpy
