I don't believe you have done this yet and there is no doubt in my mind that all the critics would be silenced if you were to do this.

I really can't see the problem with starting a new topic in the JOURNAL section of the forum for the benefit of others interested in your methodology.

Sometimes I think patience is very important in Forex. Just got to wait for the right opportunity and then hit it. Sometimes we miss it but hey, no one can be in front of the computer all the time. Sometimes we need to eat or go to the bathroom or run an errand etc.

I don't think of this as missed opportunity really. Sometimes I think...ahh If I was there then I would have made all of that but then again anything could have happened at that moment. You could have had a power outage at that moment or any number of other things.

Best thing to do is accept it as something that happened and wait for the next opportunity. If you miss the next big one down or up then same rule applies--its not a big deal since we are still winning by keeping with our trading rules.

MATSF posted this on another thread. It's a very classic trade, I think. He waited out the news, sensed a reversal, and took the ride down. Didn't hit all the pips, but got a very sizeable chunk. This might help you.

(seriously, no idea, i was surprised by the 100 pip drop even having seen the h and s formation. I was expecting long today.. still hoping.. but that has never helped before... )

to be honest i think we are done for the day, and may see a retrace from here, not sure im undecided. if we keep going down i think 520 is the next stop. hopefully this is just some consolidation for now before the next move down. all the bulls are quiet though LOL

draw your fib levels on the weekly chart, i think we are headed for the 38.2% level which sits around 14350, IMHO i think you are mad to be bullish with this pair at the moment

I'm thinking the same. A retrace to the 1.4670-700 area then maybe another leg down.. or whatever.. I would be looking for a short around that area if it happens that way.

Still I don't think much will happen pre-news.

you will also notice that this fib level coincides with a major support level which was active in december 07 and january 08

Don't you think that US market will start with buying EUR/USD to make it higher before the news and then they will sell it after the news? It looks like the news will be good.

yeah not sure, i never really take into account whether or not the news is good or bad for a certain currency, i have seen so many times, good news, dollar goes down. bad news dollar goes up. i just stay aware of when the news is coming out and to be prepared for anything.

besides who decides if the news is good or bad for the currency? forexfactory? no, if ff brings the figure out in red ie bad for currency, whos to say that the banks and big guys percieve that as bad, they may take the figure as good for the currency in the current climate.
