I started out with a 1:1 risk/reward on my current trade. I was also trying very hard to "let the profit run", as advised by Dr. Tharp, whose book I am presently reading at your suggestion. My trade just closed out for 35 PIPs; not bad for late on a Friday. Taking a nap; then taking in a parent preview of my daughter's high school marching band. Just about time to kick off the fall football season Acumen. I know it's big in Georgia, but not as big, of course, as those dawgs.

Could get downright ugly.

I was wondering, nobody running through the thread with their hair on fire was a subtle hint

1/4 of 1% with 1 to 1 stop to gain ratio. I take 50% off the table when it hits my first target, usually around 30-50 pips and let the rest run. I also move the stop and lock in profit when I take that first 50 off the table. If I were aggressive, I could have probably gotten 100% growth this month, but I am quite safe and stay within my plan. Workin pretty well for me for the last 18 months.

This thing will be at 100 soon. (Like a couple months soon - not 10 minutes or 2 years)

If you've been successful for 18 months then I wouldn't change a thing.

Nice touch on s1. Well stocked on longs, let's see what next week brings us now, as I see it if it goes below 740 I'll make the losses on the fall no problem. Just got to watch for stop hunting jumps during the weekend and right at the start of the week. But, I do tend to believe we'll make a nice new high next week before proceeding lower.

By the way, I quit my day job back in November and all I do is trade. My wife hasn't quit her job yet, because she really enjoys teaching and coaching, but she could if she wanted to. Forex can be very profitable, as we all know, if you learn how to keep the pips you take.

Oil down almost $5 today. So much for yesterdays run up. Scare tactic or profit taking is my guess.

I have been reading but not posting while I have been trading. First of all a very important post I just read or we will call it an article by someone 10 times more knowledgeable than I.

So when I post a link and include a Snippet it is because I know the information to be accurate and reliable. Why ? I have been reading research since 1999 on the internet and I know who is reliable with their articles.

Why would I write it over again when it is all there unedited ?

Next point ! Yes I short USD/JPY as it goes UP. Look at the charts. It has not gone straight up. The High is still 110.038 and I short near there and get 10 or more PIPS dozens of times.

I DO NOT GIVE CALLS because that is not my JOB here. Make your own decisions and if the thoughts I share help you that is fine. I will not tell you where to short or buy.

The Trend for USD/JPY is DOWN and I do not need a Chart for that. Sure it is UP today because the Dow is UP.

Most technicians were calling it down yesterday BUT they NEVER factor in the Dow nor should they since it is Technical only.

That is why I win in Forex because I only LISTEN to ME !!!

The Dow is UP 189 now and I just shorted one position of USD/JPY at 109.97

As for my record the last time I tried to send someone my email address to show my BEST RECORD demo trading for 56 days where I did 1804 FX trades with just 4 losses,I got banned by Twee for 2 weeks for promoting ! I look for no money or clients here. The only benefit I get here is twofold. I help or try to help some and I give others the opportunity to try to abuse me so I guess I help everyone. If I do something annoying just tell me and I will stop if it is reasonable. I have tried hard to post links with short or no Snippets.

Real Trading I did 673 in a Row without a loss. Some here have seen the PDF file.

The only reason I mention it to keep some credibilty with those that I can help here. According to some here I am a Fraud, A Con Artist, A Copy and Paste Expert and a loser in FX !

Who cares but I still have a normal Ego well maybe NOT NORMAL but I try to keep it under control.

Last night I must have read 25 posts in a row asking what PPL and DCB meant. Talk about non productive posts unrelated to EUR/USD.

PPL stands for People and DCB stands for Dead Cat Bounce !

I see EUR/USD is retracing. I bought it at least 20 times near 1.4800 and got 10 to 20 PIPS. Once Ir broke 1.4790 I stopped.

Hope I have cleared up any issues and now I will get back to trying to make a few bucks.

I am 100% confident in my FX ability only because I see my results each day. I actually posted my FX results on "Knowledge Is Power" for about a month. It was a demo account for obvious reasons of PRIVACY for my clients with the Live Ones and I said I would make about 20% profit for the month and I did.

One poster accused me then of doctoring the files which would be impossible for me to do technically and because it is not my nature.

18:33 EUR/USD: Cross Selling Pressures Euro Lower New York, August 22nd. Traders note heavy sales of EUR/JPY from leveraged accounts is helping pressure EUR/USD lower heading into the close. EUR/JPY has dropped from 162.70 to 162.45 over the past 25 minutes, and has pulled EUR/USD down to 1.4769. Traders note conflicting reports from Georgian officials, and western reporters imply that Russia has left several armed outposts dug in deep in Georgian territory, and whereas other reports note that Georgian police have reclaimed the city of Gori, one of the major ports - Poti has a strong "defensive" Russian presence, the WSJ journalists speculate they will be left there to monitor cargoes coming in for military supplies.

The unease seems to be wearing on the Euro, particularly as it doesn't seem to be having the "salutary" effects on oil prices it had earlier in the week - crude last at $114.60/75. Criticism of the Russian withdrawal (or lack thereof) from European and US sources is rampant; raising the sabre rattling to unprecedented levels post- Cold War. In the final analysis the Georgia situation is more of a threat to oil supplies to Europe than the US, and for that reason alone EUR/USD should not be that well bid. [email protected]
