I will repeat myself from a few days ago... There has not been a 100% retrace of a major up leg for Eur/Usd since Nov. of '02. There cannot be a 100% retrace of the latest leg up until we breach 1.43. Right now we are in a countertrend that may or may not breach 1.43 and change the direction of the long term up trend we have been in for several years. Until then, the LONG TERM trend is still very much up. We well have to see where this countertrend takes us. Many, many traders have gone broke predicting trend reversal in E/U. Even the 100% + retrace in '02 was a fake out and the up trend resumed several weeks later.
I think most of us here are not trading the kind of long tfs you're reffering too, so what you say is true but the long-term uptrend doesn't make much of a difference to us, at least until we reach 44-45..

I totally agree, Jurrasic---time frame makes all the difference. I was only commenting because Acumen said "Long term"--down, down, down. Maybe that means a 15 min chart...but I just wanted to clarify in case a reader thought "long term" meant long term.

I noticed earlier, when someone quoted a warren forex post (since I have him on ignore), that he said he was shorting UJ this morning and made a few pips. Is that correct? It has been screaming higher since yesterday's close. With barely the most minor of a retrace anywhere along the way. He is my hero. He can grab pips shorting during a massive uptrend, rather than take the lazy way and go long with the trend.

Hey everyone, I'm no necessarily new but really don't post at all...I do browse this particular thread a lot though and appreciate everyones opinions!
With that said...
I am displeased at how many times this thread turns into a battle not involving EUR/USD. There is so much unnecessary focus on Warren Forex, his past, and posts. If you don't like it, just ignore (despite his copy and pastes being long as heck...).
As for you Mr. "Warren Forex" aka. Bruce...or whatever the heck your name is...
I couldn't give a crap about your past but the allegations on you is wild as hell so I wouldn't exactly trust you with my business now...not even with a 10 foot pole...
...but, I do appreciate your posts when your on the topic in hand. Some are quite informative for me. You search in great places for the latest news.
I do have a few suggestions however...
1. Maybe you wouldn't get bashed as much if you would stop acting like an infomercial to your standard of trading.
2. Speaking of your trading standard, I've carefully read a lot of your posts and came to the realization that you suggest how the market should react based on the cut and pasted news but you never state an actual position you'd take.
3. Once again, connecting with the previous...I see your trying to promote your style of trade by creating a contest, but as mentioned...you never really state your position.
Overall...stop sounding like an infomercial, show some actual positions you would take to prove yourself, and stop trying to erase/rectify this so called "bad reputation" you have on the links people...and you'll be fine.
Lets just all stick to the topic at hand, in this case EUR/USD...because, I really do depend on y'all to almost confirm my calls.
Just my 2 cents.
