DislikedYes, quite a few bars missing around 2am, and 4.15 to 7am but only on demo, the live platform seems fine.Ignored
DislikedAre you missing bars on all pairs or only on one pair? I am just checking because I use the RU demo server and I can't find any missing bars on the majors.Ignored
DislikedAnytime you have problems with your brokers, as far as accounts, feeds, etc, you need to call your broker immediately. Posting here will not solve the issue traders.
Trust me, If my feed is one minute off, I will be on the phone...not on here.Ignored
Dislikedlast few days their demo account has been a nightmare. I have gaps and freezes all over the place. It is so bad that I am tempted to not use the mfor my live trading.

DislikedDear Alpari (UK) Demo Customers,
In response to the issues you have been noticing relating to our demo server connectivity, we would like to say the following:
During the past two weeks we have been testing a new Floating Leverage plug-in. Implementation of this plug-in will allow us to offer floating leverage of up to 1:500 for all our live and demo clients.
All new plug-ins are initially tested in a development environment then on demo servers and only after that are they implemented on live servers. This is done not only because this is a requirement of our ‘System Changes Control Procedures’ but also because our demo server is a very good tool for stress testing as it has more than seven million orders at any one time. In addition, we purposefully flooded our demo servers with excessive amounts of orders to make the stress testing more aggressive and productive.
As a result of our testing, our demo servers experienced occasional downtime problems for short periods of time. Although this was probably inconvenient for many of our demo clients, we would like to stress that live server connectivity was not affected whatsoever throughout the duration of our actions.
Our stress testing is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week but in terms of service downtime, you may experience temporary problems with your demo account functionality for the time being although this will be resolved in the next few days.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused although the problems you have experienced this week are an unfortunate necessity that will enable us to present a new feature to our service – Floating Leverage up to 500:1!
We will be making an announcement on our website regarding our new offering very shortly.
Kind Regards,
Alpari (UK) LimitedIgnored

DislikedIf you manage your risk the same, that's fine. But, unfortunately, retail traders tend to see the opportunity of more leverage as a change to make a quick buck... not realizing it could also quicken their losses by increasing their risk.Ignored
DislikedI know what you're saying but I wouldn't call those people 'traders', I'd call them reckless gamblers. Unfortunately they are the people who give forex trading a bad reputation.
It looks like Alpari UK are keeping up with their Russian counterpart, they already offer 1:500.Ignored

what a nonesense. Would be se same if the authorities limit max HP to 100 in the car industry.
Leverage is a great tool in experienced hands. Same is valid for HP on cars...
