12:29 USD/JPY: Stock Downgrades, Write Downs Help Weigh on USD San Francisco, August, 12. USD/JPY trades at 109.90 this morning having eased sharply from 110.20 over the last hour and approaching the London low of 109.85. Seen weighing on the USD this morning are stock downgrades and bank writedowns with JPMorgan Chase taking a $1.5 bln write-down late Monday. Goldman Sachs has been downgraded by Deutsche Bank this morning and McDonald"s has been downgraded by UBS. In addition, the UBS losses are also weighing on sentiment with DJIA futures down 23 pts so far this morning. Overall, the USD is due for a correction from recent gains, and the USD retreat is also seen reflecting that sentiment. Support is eyed at 109.30 and 109.15 on a move lower. [email protected]

I wouldn't make way too hasty conclusions about that...
Just today we had a new low and things appear to progress well to at least complete the move for the double top reversal on Daily, which is around 47-475..

Like I said, reversal near 50 likely. Took a quick 13 pips, I think it may give it another shot before dropping.

Stopped my shorts really bad. But in my opinion it has to go down... longer term trend looks like still South.

Took another short at 43, I believe that if it's not taken out (sl in mid 60s) soon I'll leave it running for a good 100+ pips today.

I lost today 10% of my account. Not because I was wrong, but because my stops were to tight or I put the buy/sell order to low or too high.
