Don't look on the export side ONLY bro. There's many things in the FOREX world which is unfolded. For me as an Intraday, Long and Short is the best answer.

Hello again all,

Can someone tell me a little about your use of Trailing Stops? Metatrader gives options for 15, 25, 30 ...all the way up to 300. What do you all typically use, and when would you change higher or lower?

I have gotten run out with no profit a few times recently using 15 TSL.

Wish I had something to give back to this great forum, but (1) my knowledge is limited and (2) my money is trying to get away from me after last Friday.

Can I ask Traders a BIG FAVOUR. When you post a trade or a chart, can you explain the reason for that and the logic for that matter. We can only learn. By doing that, you can have positive debates and the critics will stay silent and will start taking note.

I don't like the current price action at all - no clear direction so US numbers later today will probably tell the direction.

My plan is to be flat before they are announced and trade based on price action after the announcement.

The trend is still going down south. Might go to about 1.44xx or 1.45xx. I will look at oil price to drop to USD90 and then Euro will rebound with it.

I think the market is waiting for one shred of bad news from us and up goes the eur. dollar is looking heavy. And i agree price action is bad closed my short. I will wait

I really feel the bottom is 1.4800

Low overnight was 1.48141 on FXCM platform. I agree that the market needs a reason to rally. Gold tested $800 US and held. The benefit of Oil around $113.00 foe equity markets is over. US Data coming out over next few days. I feel a bounce in the air with Stops above.

First Step is getting over 1.4900 and holding. 1.4950 should do it. Watch and be ready...

This is a way to see what is changing as the day goes on. It helps to see where the money is flowing.

Dow Futures are down 8 and Oil is down $ .85 cents at $113.60 US

Gold is down $6.90 at $821.40

The 2 Year Bond Yields are at 2.52% and the 10 Year Bond Yield is at 3.98%

The spread is 146 Basis points. Once again EUR/USD got over 1.4900 but could not hold.

The Europe indices are up but only barely. More bad news in Banks with UBS and JP Morgan announcing more Write downs in the Billions.

Dow is ready for a correction and the Trade Numbers come out at 8:30 AM

hi guys

I just got home and opened the charts now.

Just looking at it off hand it appears that we could re-trace upwards but I have my doubts since we breached the previous day's 'low'. At the moment I'm bearish in my thinking as to where this chart is going.

I'm going to go back a few pages and read what you guys think

11:04 EUR/USD: Rebound Struggles In 1.49"s London, August 12. Into the North American open and EUR/USD may garner some directionality from the impending US data. Moderately hawkish ECB rhetoric has been overlooked thus far with markets looking at geopolitics to shape interests. At 12:30 GMT June Trade data is released with August Consumer Confidence following at 14:00 GMT. After the European closes the July Federal Budget data is released but it will be the early brace that shapes the bias towards the Dollar.

EUR/USD removed 1.4850 in the Asian/European crossover but spot attempted to bounce as the European morning progressed, after several Swiss buyers bought over a yard into the 1.4814 lows. Russian buyers have also aided the EUR/USD rebound but spot has struggled amid the move back into the 1.49"s as selling strength remains preferred in the short-term.

Further topside stops are noted in the 1.4930"s, so any break above here could accelerate the move higher - with the 1.4950 level then coming into view. While on the downside, there is little left until 1.4800 comes into sight. [email protected]
