first. a lot of people here keep talking about the bottom, and it need retrace ..like to +5400 (fib 50% ??)... but what happen if in 1-2 hour oil down another 3-4 dollar & DJIA up 200 points.. does e/u still need retrace..or just keep falling?

second, is there any1 in this thread who knows?how the big player make a trade? does they need meeting before do a trade? or just like me here, sit in front of computer, and when i see some opportunity just jump in? (i know they are long term trader..maybe based on weekly/monthly or even yearly TF, but just wonder, how they make a trade?)

I have had the WORST time this week. I have accidentily hit the sell button instead of the buy button, I have had about 4 different stops that hit to the TEE and then went my direction a long, long way, costing me a bundle in profits. I have stared at the screen for hours and hours at a time, just to see BIG moves in the direction I wanted right after I decide to liquidate my position. I am so ^$#&#! frustrated!!!!....I just had the complain, sorry

If we simply look at a newly develop swing there's usually going to be a certain percentage/amount of retracement before it continues in any direction. These retracements can easily be spotted by fibbing a swing properly and if price fails to retrace more than 50% then it is likely that a reversal will not occur...

It baffles me that such a large portion of retail traders out there have no clue of this structure, and it’s no wonder why so many of them lose money on a regular basis. Banks control the cash. Retail traders such as you or I, as well as major funds play a key part in the movement of the market, but at the end of the day, the banks are the ones putting on multi-million dollar positions which essentially drive the markets. We would like to think we are a bigger part of it, but we’re not.

Working for a major fund and a bank for several years, I realized what a joke a lot of trading really was and how simple it really can be for any novice investor with a willingness to learn. In my shop, we had one dedicated analyst per pair and he or she basically called out the shots to traders on the desk. The trader is responsible for moving the cash while securing profit whenever possible. With virtually no spread, most of the positions would last from a few seconds to several minutes. Many of them would take tiny profits trading counter trend all day long, along with hedging other traders, causing rises and shifting bars as you see on a regular basis.

When an order gets placed that seems larger than life, and chips start to stack on, others usually follow like a herd like sheep. The largest orders are placed in areas of extreme support and resistance, and most of the market makers are fully aware of this fact. Analytics done by the banks usually outline these areas first and foremost, hence it’s the most widely used and followed technique at distinguishing reversal points. Other analytics are used as well, such as diagonal trend lines, pivots, price channels, macd, moving averages, etc., but issues over ambiguity arise with all of them. The technique I’ll describe below uses nothing more than support and resistance, with other methods allowing for possible trend-riding along the way. Falling back on the very basics in TA here pure S & R combined with Fibo & DeMark:

A:
If we manage to break 1.5185 upwards (Support 2) I will feel confident to enter a long for a possible retrace towards 1.528 (Break Line & H1 Upper Limit)

B:
Upwards failure to break S2 at 1.5185 brings us south towards S3 at 1.506 with an absolute bottom for me at 1.497 (Daily Lowest Limit)

Key level to watch is H1 Lower Limit at 1.5156, if this breaks I expect the second scenario B to come in place, if it holds and breaks S2 scenario A is the one to follow for me

Yeah, ok.. below 1.5 for today would be even more original than going up a lot. Good analysis as always Shadow.

Really messed up with my longs, here's my lesson for you people that I keep relearning time after time, though recently rather rarely but still, no matter how sure you are put that sl where it should be, it's easier to pick things back up from a new peak/low later instead of waiting for it to turn.
