I've been long. Interesting squeeze at 11am est on my charts. That squeeze with the US stock market down, gold slightly up and oil up at the time it should have rocketed up with dollar weakness but it didn't. With the US stock market discounted, foreign investers, the big ones have to convert to US dollars to buy in? I just can't believe it would be that simple. It is not making sense to me, so I am looking for an out and will look to next week to start trading again, sad too because some folks are going to make some good money if they figure this one out.

Been looking at the charts, I've decided to stay in with a TP at 1.5785. SL at 1.5715. After that I might stay out for the rest of the week with ADP and NFP announcements. I say that but I know if I see another opportunity I claim I'm out, but .... well you know.

Lol I know the situation. Been there done that a number of times. I have been long from 5660, so i am enjoying a few pips of profit. The 5760 region is still proving to be a hassel and We may struggle, however if we can get above here the my take profit is still at 5800.

The economic outlook for Germany remains bleak as consumer confidence declined to the lowest level in five years. GfK AG’s index fell to 2.1 for August from 3.6 in July, the lowest level since June 2003. Soaring energy prices coupled with upwards inflationary pressures have diminished consumer purchasing power. Additionally, record food prices and the U.S. housing slump has decreased demand for exports, also squeezing the economy.

DOWN, DOWN, DOWN... the EURO, the Euro-zone, Oil... etc.

There is where you are wrong. That info can make the currency go up or down. Its all just bs. that news has nothing to do with what is really happening with the e/u. if it drops down again i will be buying more euro

I've about same SL but my TP is not set, but I would max out at 1.61-2, a little higher than previous high. Also, probably the NFP will help the EUR

Germany"s DAX may already be down around 1.1% but this is seen as a reflection of the continued fallout from global stock markets. Local inflation remains in focus in FX markets at present, with the latest Saxony CPI data (+0.6% M/M & +3.6% Y/Y) currently being digested.
Spot continues to edge higher and EUR/USD has now managed to push into the 1.5750"s with 58 the reported highs. However, the supply into the 1.5760"s will now look to limit the topside and keep potential for fresh volatility muted. Standing orders are in play into the 60"s but IFR is of the opinion that the offers into the 1.5790"s may offer the pair slightly more resistance.
