It looks to me that the R1 was nearly hit. The M3 acted as resistance for a while, Price has been holding on pretty hard to the central pivot all day and now it looks like the Pivot point has acted as temporary support.

Did I miss anything?

If it would have broken the pivot point support @ 106.60 would it have been likely to have traveled to the next point?

Hmm, it's heading towards the pivot point again... let's see if it breaks it or bounces again...

Well, it didn't bounce.
So, for now, it penetrated but did not break and atm the price is sitting right on the pivot... interesting.

If there had been enough time today the S1 would of been hit.......

106.18 is the monthly pivot for this month which has been broken right after Wachovia's earning report was released just a while ago in the London session. We are definitely close to a turning point now...

Has anyone else had issue with GFT Forex? I have had nothing but trouble with them. It takes 20-30 minutes to log in sometimes, and then sometimes it takes another 3-5 minutes for the software (Dealbook 360) to open completly. This morning I am unable to log in and not able to get anyone on the phone either. They have issues, and they are not good.
UPDATE: Finally reached their tech support. I will be looking for another broker ASAP.

I use GFT Forex platform Dealbook 360. Yes it takes time to open but not 20min. Only 3 to 4 min. It takes lots of memory so you should have powerful system and high speed internet.
I don't mind with that slow open. They have the best web based platform which I can use from any internet connection.
Overall I am satisfied and I have'n using GFT over 2yrs.

Glad to hear you are not having any issues.I have had issues, not with software, but with their ability to keep their system up during key trading times. THis morning was the last straw. U/J moved over 120 pips and I could not log into any of their access, web based or dealbook 360.I'm finished with them and will NOT recomment them to anyone. They started out very well, but had gone down hill.Sorry to the rest of you for hijacking this thread with this sort of thing, but I have to voice my opinion somewhere. My hope is that no one else has any issues.I know all briokers will have issues.. but I'm not hanging around GFT Forex anymore and waiting for opportunities like this morning to be wasted.Warm regards,Bristol

That FED really knows how to prop the dollar up The dollar is strong. Did you know that GW Bush "Likes a strong dollar! LOL
I would not be shorting it for a big drop. Uncle Sam and the FED know how to prop it up and keep it strong, no matter what the fundamentals say.
Best thing to do is catch it on it's ups and downs and take pips that way.
Do you htink it is coincidence that the FED speaks and says just the right thing at the right time to keep the dollar up in the range it's been in for so long? It's not going to go down too far any time soon. Not with all the treasury folks , Bernake and everyone else talking it up. I would not short it "too far" If you're holding a short position and are waiting for it to fall 300-400 pips, I would say you have a long wait, if not anytime soon. Judging by the timing of the FED and others that speak and move the USD, they are not going to let it loose the ground it's gained.

They know what they are doing.

Finanlly, USD/JPY has been able to hold above 200sma on the daily chart, even though it was NOT based on the US fundamentals at all, but it was forced to be propped up by verbal interventions of Paulson and his gangs.

The hourly chart is overbought now. Who cares about going long right now? Let's see how Tokyo traders, especially Nikkei and exporters, react to this prive level.
