Long term and looking at pure technicals I believe it's going down. I am already short since 1.5990 but would wait for decissive break of 1.5800 before adding new positions for the ride towards 1.5600-50 level.

But, I agree to the following statement.

"Industry observers cautioned that prices could still bounce back, just as they have following large drops in recent weeks."

Once their purpose was fullfilled, the oil price will come back up and USD will drop against Euro again.

Might get a bit chilly on your own at the top there...

Besides oil uncapping to be signed Friday morning, there are no major events scheduled for the USD on the calendar for today & tomorrow imo....

1.588 is the 4h UTL that needs to be broken for your target...

I'm short T1 at 1.58 - 1.576, T2 at 1.56

Just my 2 cents...

My wife used to freak out after fuel prices would go up 50 cents and then feel good when they dropped 6 cents. That is status quo and we can not be satisfied with that. We should be upset that prices are above $2 until they come back to those levels. We have to get smarter and hold their feet to the fire.

Exactly, Jim! The psychology is amazing. After awhile it becomes the norm and people start to accept it. If there isn't a major uprising and things don't change, it will be difficult for prices to come back down. The oil companies have received a huge raise and won't want to give that up too easily.
