That move was worth over 60 pips before it turned at the 61.8% fibo / mid pivot....

arrgh, well i was. this is silly, pinched a few each way off london and now going to check my eyelids for leaks. goodnite. (soon as i sign off, tho it'll jar loose. you guys have fun.)

Hi AK - yep - some bounce off the 61.8 - now watching to see IF it will break the DP again.....

moving in 15 pip channel for a long time now....maybe the downtrend is tired a little..?

I am getting a Bearish flag with tentative lines.

Bearish Flag is a bearish continuation pattern.

this pair doesnt feel the pressure to break the daily trend line. Will trade accordingly

Correct Flag pattern should have at least 2 touches at UTL and LTL.

Well at least, as of now, I closed my short position and opneded a long one.

At least the ascending channel is very clear to me.

At least for now.

But if the flag pattern is confirmed and price goes below 105.00 than I am def. short.

We just got a push from the news.

We breached it but didn't close below it.Even then though,you can't take for granted that we will move to the next level.This is a rule but it doesn't mean it works all the time .... it would be too easy,wouldn't it

For instance,today we closed above Central Pivot but we didn't have enough power to move to R1,we bounced from M3 (ok,few pips above it)

how do you determine where to take profit? most of the time i target the midpoint, but the range can get pretty small. in other words, for example - going short at pivot and targeting S1 and not the midpoint of pivot and S1?

The Japanese exporters have entered the market for selling dollars and buying yen above 106.00-106.20. This could prevent USD/JPY from going upward further.

I watch the trend after I get in and also the Bollingerbands, once the candles break off of the top band, I start thinking about exiting. I have been getting in usually after th etrend starts and getting out a bit early. I'm happy with the "sweet spot" of a trend. If I miss a bunch of a trend, I don't sweat it.
