I like the hedging idea. I have found myself trading eu and cable in a similar way by default; rather than setting a stop loss, my management ea hedges a trade at the point I would have set a sl, so I haven't lost a trade for a while. I have a couple of cable sells that are about -300, but the hedging buys are still making pips.

Can I pick your brains, please? As I understand your method, you open a buy and sell order simultaneously, then allow the market to do its thing.

How do you decide when to exit the successful trade?

Having exited, if the market continues to move against the second trade, do you then re-hedge?

Do you concern yourself with market peaks\troughs? Specific to eu still being close to its all-time high, do still regard the buy trade as having the potential to succeed? Or don't you care, given that you can keep a hedge in place, take the pips from that and the interest from the buy?
