http://www.pivotpointcalculator.com/ has option to select the ones you want in drop-down menus. I always went with the top defaults as the formulas match those for R2 and R1...
Your way (and built in Accucharts) would be selecting the second formula - I just checked the numbers

Dove, as I said before, it is imperative that we calculate the pivots with the majority of marketmakers.
As I am too lazy for backtesting I am going to concentrate on live trading and monitor all the pivots calculated based on Friday close price vs. early Sunday close, and the R3 - S3 levels based on those two formulas.
I want to see which ones have stronger effect.

My guess is all of them will have some conjestion in the vicinity, as a significant number of traders will utilize any particular set of pivots.

P.S.
The reason I had a problem with the Sunday pivots - some currency pairs don't open at 15-30. For example, AUD/USD and NZD/USD may show up first only at 15:40, 16:00, 16:20, 16:30 - I've seen it all happen.

That's a good idea. With regards to this past Sunday session, Aussie, pound, U/CHF, E/CHF, E/J, and G/J all respected pivots which were calculated based upon the Friday 17:00 close.

how far up is this gonna go the stochastic oscillator has reached the top above 80 on the daily chart... looking for that drop below 107.50 (fingers crossed)

an oscillator being at overxxxx level doesn't mean it has to return back to the other side.. it will.. but it may still go in the same direction for a while.. stopping any of your orders. be careful with oscillators.

no biggie, your post had said "email" you, but you have email options disabled in your profile, means the only way to contact you is thru pm. email thru FF is sent thru them to your email address on record when you register. noone even sees that address unless you allow it in your profile

Stochastic oscillator is an early hint that the opposite trend (or retrace) might happen in the near future - usually within next 2-4 candles on the same scale.
However, you should use other indicators of your system for new trend (or retrace) confirmation before an entry

Yep, i am short... i'm thinking it will come down a bit (but thats just my guess)... what is a more accurate oscillator to use, any suggestions? i currently use 2 moving averages one set at 10 and another set at 40 and use momentum along with the stochastic oscillator... it worked well for me so far on the eur/usd and made 3 good trades with it - now just trying it with jpy. For some reason there is heavy buying in jpy at the moment my broker says...

I am scalping this thing out of boredom at 107.97 - 98, taking profit at 107.91 - 92. Waiting for another opportunity now.

Once it breaks out of this tight box between pivot and central will be a nice ride to 108.32 or 107.54
