As we all "see" the chart action differently, I still find that the detail provided by the extra candles really helps me to take entries - like the reversal into the buy that I mentioned - especially when using minimal indicators / MAs etc.

Oh - there is one thing I forgot to mention...... I do use the 6 minute chart...... smiling, if that makes any since.....

I am really getting tired of watching this thing bounce between the central at the 20 and the mid at the 05.......

ÇI'm waiting for the news... good forecast is priced in... if it is bad.. it will drop hard.
we are at the pivot again.... still uptrend... but less powerful.

For me, it gives a more realistic reading than the 5, at least that is what I find.

Do you think the Goldman earnings will lead the market today? Or do you think it has not much to do with it? Often when stocks are set to open higher, the $DJI will spike but not take the JPY with it. What are your thoughts?

With the way the JPY has been, it would prob be a safe bet. Don't go long on the Tomatos tho.....

It's acting very bi-polar at the moment!
I wish we could get a lock on a good trend and start racking in the PIPs!

With that said though, it looks like the EUR/USD wants to go down and the USD/JPY wants to go up, but both pairs are stalling

I went to sleep last night during the euro session and put a tp at 107.58 and i missed it by 1 pip because it only went down to 107.59. Can you believe it!

Story of my life. It is frightening the number of times I'm stopped out by a pip or miss an entry by a pip...even when I shift my estimates to be on the safe side.

Dohhhhh!
I'd recommend setting up an alert around you TP level as well.
This use to happen to me all the time until I set an alert 10 PIPs away from my Take Profit so I could monitor the session.

I agree with you but then i guess would have to wake up in the middle of the night and leave the computer on all night

It's not that bad once you do it a few times. I just hate seeing a positive trade go negative, it's the worse feeling out there for me because it could be prevented. Stings alot more to me than a trade that completely runs away from you and hits a SL
