I've never seen that in forex with pending orders. You see it all the time in futures.
Really? Then what Your'e saying is that if I set a pending order at 40, for example, and the market went from 30 to 50 in one tick, I will get filled at 40?

Did You turn on the EA after or before the the low was broken?
It might have happend because You had another open trade for the same currency, or the current hour was out of range between StartTradingHour and EndTradingHour.

I've made an update to "Jarroo Indicator"!
Have a look!
I attached the indicator, and a chart example of it.
It also has pop up alerts...and in a couple threads after this one, I attached this indicator with email alerts

Jim, you are going to widen your s/l by some 6 to 7 pips every time.
Whilst I don't have any better ideas, I would be surprised if that was Peter's approach.

jarroo ! i think you might ve noticed. Its IBs on day and 4hr tfs and now staggering in an IB on 1hr. Will it be a breakout worth 400 pips ? your views plz

it might help to know what pair you are talking about.
gbpjpy is more valotile then eurusd.

Yes this would widen the stop loss (trade risk). I'm pretty sure this is not Pete's approach. It's just an idea I am looking into.

No. You just won't get filled at all, unless you have set your "maximum deviation from quoted price" to 10. I have mine set at 0. There is no slippage, in forex, unless you want slippage.

My broker also honors stops. If I have a SL set at 50, and price gaps down to 20, like on a Sunday evening, I'm still out at 50.

Just a small suggestion -- is it possible to rename "Jarroo Indicator" with some versions ...

Jarroo_Indicator_v1 (Version 1)
Jarroo_Indicator_v2 (version 2)

It helps us to easily identify what one wants !!

Thanks for the indicator, can I also make a suggestion that would really help.
Is it possible to have a time input in the indicator where we tell the indicator what time the session starts so that if the ib is below that open price of the session in only alerts to sells, if the ib is at the straddling the open price it alerts to both sells and buys, and if the if is above the open price it only alerts to buys. This would save a lot of false alerts and emails.

So, if the price retrace under the high of the inside bar, this means that the breakout is not so strong, and there isn't the possibility of a second breakout, is it correct?

Another question: if the high price of the inside bar is not broken from the next bar, is the set up deleted or can we consider the second bar, or the third and so on? And if so, for how many bars the set up remains valid?

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking around this thread for days and first of all let me extend my admiration and support for such a great job that everyone is doing. Also my huge thanks to Peter Crown for providing us with such an insight and helpful knowledge, and also to everyone else who have been contributing towards improving our trading skills with ideas and tips.

I have read the rules of this trading system and been using and applying the indicators that I dl from the thread, including the EA that Oksana very kindly has written, but in the end I think its highly essential for me to get the rules to the precise point also so that I can follow it up manually.
My confusion is where in the post where Peter Crown explains that it is possible to know whether a day is a buy or sell based on the opening price of the day in relation to the closing price of the previous day, so if the day opened up then on that particular day only buys should be placed (of course if it is above the opening price and followed by the candle rules) and vice versa if the day opened lower in relation to the previous day's close then look only for sells on that given day (followed by the rules again).
Is this rule applied as above or should I base simply on the fact that if the indicator triggers a candle for a sale and provided it is below the opening price of the day then I should consider taking that sale, and vice versa for the buy signal if the candle was triggered and it was above the opening price.
The other confusion for me is this: can a buy and a sell occur on the same day? the chart I am trying to attach might elucidate better what I am trying to imply.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Also I live in the UK and have tried to pinpoint the opening times by shifting the indicator for the opening price to match one of the charts I saw which jarroo had posted, so if someone could also tell me if this is determined as the opening time as discussed and presumably settled in the thread.

Yes, we can consider proceeding bars until the breakout ocurrs.

Hi,
I don't remeber anythingthat mentions that comparison of todays opening and yesterdays close. All I have seen is that the current price should be above, for a buy, below , for a sell, versus todays opening. Peter Crowns does mention momentum but doesn't define it, thats fine we all have a take on that. I believe it is possible to have both a buy and sell on the same day.

A question I have is:
Does the IB that i sbeing used for the trigger have to be during the currnt tarding day or could it be from yesterday. I assume it has to be current trading day.

Can't help with indicator as I have my own.

time used is 6 gmt. as to attaching pictures, take a screenshot of your chart using print screen or other software like Snagit (free), save pic to desktop, then when posting here there is a a section at bottom labelled attach files. Click on this, browse to your file on desktop, upload ( which attaches file to your post) then send post.

Further to xrunner's questions, I would also seek clarification of the rules of this approach with particular reference to deciding an UP day or a Down day.
Living in the UK also, I start looking at charts at 6.00BST (5.00GMT).....what I am not sure about is this.......is the 5.00GMT candle the OPEN candle? If so, is it an UP day if the open of this candle is higher than the close of the previous 23.00/24.00 GMT candle.
Greatly appreciated if someone can provide clarity here.

Here is the chart I was referring to on my previous post.

Can I please confirm to make sure I got all the rules compeltely right, there are two buys according to the indicators on this chart and one sell, or am I missing something please?
