Ok, I misread your comment Tamster, sorry about that! I agree, you are absolutely right about that, which is the reason that stops should always be in place even if they are rather large.

No problem Mike. There was also a nicely forming H & S on the 4hr chart.

I did have SL on my trade but only made those comments because I didn't want those who might have lost badly to feel so bad - it could have gone other way.

I found the pic randomly, but I have a name for him. He's called Mr. Grear (combination of fear and greed). He's the guy who makes you bail on profitable trades early b/c you're afraid. Also the same guy who makes you break your equity management rules when you see a sure fire trade.

I met Mr. Grear last week where I had been holding a Euro long position from the week before b/c I was sure it was going up and I broke my equity management too. So I know Mr. Grear all too well, but glad I got out when I did b/c I'd be in a world of pain right now...lol.

I haven't traded since, but I actually just took a position b/c I saw a pretty good divergence on 4 hr, 1 hr, and 1 hr is giving us a couple hammers. I'm playing this back to 1.5494 and 1.5520. Mr. Grear hasn't showed his face yet...

Its not even a 200 pip dip yet, so im still holding my longs, just placed another 1 (1.5431).

Question for anyone to answer: Is a strong dollar practical at this point?
DJI is still far down from highs
Credit meltdown could be over, but who knows
Housing defaults and foreclosures still on the rise.

I understand that controlling inflation is a key responsibility of the Fed, but can we afford to make liquidity less available for people at this point?

At this point, I don't think a strong dollar is practical or sustainable. That doesn't rule out a 4-500 pip movement upwards, though.
DJI is far down, and cheap to boot. Attractive to investors.
Credit meltdown will have residual affects, but should be at least alleviated in the next 6 months or so (just a guess, of course).
Defaults and foreclosures mean uber cheap investments, just like DJI. The only question is, at what point does the tide turn and how big will the bubble get this time? Enter, the Fed. Hopefully this go-round they will prevent that type of situation from coming to fruition. But, just like everyone here looking for direction, all I can offer is my opinion.

Looking very bearish price is finding major resistance at may 30 low....overall look is bearish though...we have consolidation so dont get in the market untill you get a break of them...be aware of major support at 5366
