Just wanted to post a PM since it was well written(spelling aside, not everyone's a native speaker or similiar) and pretty much sums up most of what the gist is. Well, of one of the possible interpretations anyhow. The interesting thing with anything created is simply that once it is "released", there isn't really any "one" "right" interpretation...there might be one true intended interpretation, but that's not the same as what people then go on to make of it...whether this is good or bad, welllll...that's even more of a discussion.

Subject: Story of a dog
What I think the story is saying is that the dog is our trading system. The person that introduces the system is the master whom the system has work long and hard for. Once it is introduced to the new family ( other traders), They all began to tweak what has been working just fine and adding and removing things until finally the system breaks down and doesn't exist anymore and is just dead.
Then what do those traders do go out to find a new dog. Without the understanding that they were the ones to kill the first dog to began with. If they would have just let it do its job, the dog would still be serving them well even though it wouldn't work perfectly all the time.
