There's a lot of talk about this system over at MoneyTec. Anyone ever try this system? What were your experiences with it?

That's Wave 59. It looks like a lot of work to figure that one out. It even has ASTROLOGY in there (presumably to predict which days are more likely to be volitile).

A lease is 69 per month, 30 day free trial. To BUY it costs about 2400 (12 payments of 199)plus it needs a data feed. For 600 more you can attend a 4xMadeEasy seminair and get that easier to understand package instead.

For that matter, take just the 600 and get the Ukranian's Braintrading package and use Metatrader for FREE (following the signals but placing trades using another broker unless you feel comfortable with having your growing cash horde stashed in vaults deep inside former Soviet occupied lands).

One thing about Metatrader and the indicators (this probably applies to the REAL BT as well). If you have a slow computer, less than 500mz and the BARS don't show properly, switch ALLBARS from 500 to something less (if more charts are up, that figure will have to be adjusted). I have mine set down to 200 but have since settled on 50 when I had 5 charts up.

The Braintrader thread has some BT and ASCT like copycat indicators posted there for FREE . How helpful these are remains to be seen, though at leas one person says the REAL BT is better. I'm trying them out myself but have not gotten enough market time to put them to the test yet.

My hobbie is to collect different trading systems
For last 3 years i have spent many dollars buying systems and using 6 different forex advisor services.
My last acquisition was braintrading system 2 monthes ago.
I received good discount for unlimited license and Andriy (owner of this business) is really nice guy. I really appreciate his help. I asked him to do some useful system upgrades related with alerts and all this work was done in some days only without any payments from me. So customer service is very good.
Now about Braintrading system. I am intraday trader and don't know any other pack (including Asctrend from Ablesys with principles similar to Braintrading and Asctrend was rated #1 in traders.com magazine as best trend following system) which can identify intraday trends better than braintrading. I and some guys tested braintrading and original asctrend for tradestation and our decision is that braintrading is much more accurate in trend identification, especially for intraday charts. Having only 1-2 entrys daily with simple entry and exit rule trading only 1 currency pair usd/chf my profit for all april was +944 pips (+1181;-237) and current profit for may is 630 pips so i am glad with system and my results.

looks interesting. i like how it is supposed to work any timeframe any pair etc. flexibility is always a sign of a good system.

reading through their site, i have a hunch they are using a price acceleration/momentum strategy. i say this because acceleration and momentum are one of the few indicators that work across all markets and have the flexibility they describe. also, they mention Van Tharp a few times, and he is a fan of price acceleration, as well as the risk model they discuss.

Do you backtest also the diamont system or comparing with braintrading system. In your opinon, what it's better?

yeah sorry, i tried to forget about this thread. as you have probably figured out by now, i was not impressed by Brain Trading.

first of all, this is NOT a mechanical trading system. it is more like a "Super Indicator". the results of trading this system are based upon the judgment of the trader (ie ten people trading the system would have significantly different results from one another).

they sent me the indicators for TradeStation. am i supposed to backtest this by hand? i think not! so i wrote them an email and asked for them to send me an actual strategy (not an indicator) so that i could load it on the chart and backtest the results. their reply was that they are still working on the strategy, "trying to cut down on the whipsaws". this is when red flags went off. if they already have these "great" indicators, they should be able to program that into an actual strategy within hours. also, if you can not figure out how to program rules that will cut down on the whipsaws, how the heck are you going to cut down on whipsaws trading the strategy "freestyle"? the obvious answer is that you have to use discretion, and THAT is why this is not a mechanical trading system.

so i never did really test the system. you can't, really, because the rules of the indicator are a secret, and they do not provide an exact strategy. unless of course you want to spend the next 6 months in real time, which would be an incredible waste of time given the many other option the trader has. why spent 6 months doing something that should take 4 hours?

if you are in the market for a good indicator that you dont know the formula to, by all means, Brain Trading is an excellent choice!

Well said Merlin. I appreciate your frankness about what you think should define a trading system. I lean toward Richard Dennis definition who said that a true trading system should have rules that cover every eventuality leaving no discretion up to the trader.

I notice the majority of traders here are new to forex trading and I think it is great that you take the time to make, perhaps to some people, unpopular statements in order to help newer traders to establish their understanding of what they are getting when they go and spend their money in the marketplace.

merlin thank you sir for you review if trading system Brain Trading. i hear much chatter on forums about Brainn Trading but i dont hear what the real results have been achieved. i now realize that system is not really system, just indicator! not worth money!

Of course in the world exists at least one assh*le, who will try to sell well known old info in new "sensational" interpretation
