Today, Eur economic data will come out. The forecasts are slightly worst than previous, but they're all read over 50. What do you guy think of the impact of economic data on Eur/Usd?

Hi AndutiFX, Welcome to Forex Factory.

If history is any kind of an indicator, flip a coin.

I have seen good news for the US send the E$ up and good news for EU send it down. My guess would be if it hits close, up or down (Ex 54.5) (German Manufacturing PMI (p) 54.7 55.1) it will still send the E$ up.

On the other hand being that it is hanging around 1.6xx after breaking through it might only need a small reason to retrace to 1.59xx or below.

Last time of intervention was with Japan and US, depreciating the dollar in 85', and then fixing problem in 87'. Part of the reason for depreciating the dollar can be during war times for deficit reasons. I don't see the Euro at 1.6 being a problem. The Pound is at 2.0. Heck, the Franc has gone from 4.0 to 1.0 and then yen from 200 to 100. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Euro go to 4.0, but that doesn't mean the US dollar is devalued, that just means the Euro is overvalued, and it will show with all currencies. Then Europe will go into a recession and there will be intervention.

Didn't manage to see the fireworks last night, but it turned to be a very profitable trade for me..

EURUSD did deal above 1.6000 on an intraday basis, but did not get the daily close above it. The action was very choppy and very jittery.

I will sit back and relax to see what's next for this pair..

A bit info from forex.com commentary..

says that we have yet to see any convincing follow through from last night's advance beyond 1.6000..
as though there is a hesitancy of market participants to put new money on this pair..
profit taking has ensued, and i think the move right now is only for the brave..

There is a trendline break right now on EURO USD, if what I observed is any correct the expect a pivotal break. Sell Euro usd, take profit at `1.5900Cheers

You can make use of the support break attempt on the EURO UD chart if it eventually comes true. take profit at 1.5880
