This method is the establishment in a hypothesis foundation, supposes after some direction is stopped, in the reversed direction certainly will continue TP+spread pips. Like this if reduces SL, in the reversed direction continues not to be uncertain.

after one trade has hit stop loss, the other one has to move by 10 pips to hit the tp. At that moment just put a sl of 10 pips, so risk/reward is 1-1.

understanding everyones idea. Just wanted some feed back to see what your opinions are sounds like mixed. but just go back 1 month and look at both currencies together on the same days. You can see that very rarely do you take a loss on both and also you can take a double win on both. I have not seen 2 losses in a row yet.

i have downloaded and installed the indicators in ODL metatrader
but when i try to attach them to the chart nothing seems to happen.

i have put the indicators in the subfolder (indicators) and they do show up
in the navigation panel but somehow they dont attach when i drop them
onto the chart.i have even compiled them but they still dont want to attach.

anything you can suggest.

You could remedy both of these situations by doing the same trade on USD/CHF and USD/JPY, going long in one and short in the other. As both of these currencies are carry trade currencies, equity movements will push both pairs in the same direction

besides these 2 pairs are there any other pairs that you can suggest
or is there a link where i can get this information.

it's possible to write an ea that places trades on multiple pairs and would manage only those trades it placed when a specific targets are hit..... any target.....

backtesting it is another story...... for something like that, you would just write the standard single pair ea with the stoploss and takeprofit inputs , along with a input to set the hour to trade.....

then run a separate backtest over a couple years data on each pair..... combine the results and you should have an idea......

a big keep-in-mind would be a backtest will not reflect trades that in real life might have been taken out by widening spreads.....

my backtests roughly show a thousand pips a year..... so unless my even rougher math is off, .1 lots on a 1k account would yield 100 bucks a year.... it would be wise to cut that estimate in half.....

couple ideas that might help squeak out a bit more.....

instead of a 75 profit target, you might opt for 200 and have a small trailing stop that starts 65.... say something like a 20 pip trailing stop..... that way you have the potiential of letting your profits run, at least for a little more......

in addtion to the 'delayed' trailing stop you could employ a breakeven function .... the commonly seen breakeven function does just that, breakeven......

as example, a breakeven setting of 65 usually means the stoploss is raised to 0 once 65 pips is hit thereby possibly avoiding a true loss.... that same function can be rewritten to lockin 50 pips, or any such value......

at first glance, with realistic risk it appears 10 to 20% a year is feasible.... both pay positive swap ..... h

This system is definitely NOT "outside the box" but has been "boxed" and "sold" in so many systems it can't hardly be counted. Freedom Rocks is probably the most famous one that has taken numerous people's money when the "near perfect correlation" went into a nosedive.
