Breaks: Verb, 1) Sharp, rapid movement with or against your current position. Usually a result of news but can happen for no apparent reason (See image from last night), the reason usually is in other part of the world 2) Rapid movement can lag up to 1 hour with slow movement before break.

Heh, i'm off to sleep and i do hope it breaks up today. I set broker to send me alerts on my cell, so I get up if it's around 5800

1.5727 interesting, I shorted last night successfully practically at that price and today I'm long at around 1.5725...

I`m long on eur/usd from 1.5700, and I`m wondering if anyone has an idea of what my target for profit should be?

Is it a good idea to hang on to this trade for as long as it goes, or should I bank my profits now, while I can?

I`m new at this, and I really don`t know where to put my TP. It`s currently set for 1.5800...

I think a good idea would be to put a SL unless you have a lot of cash in your account to live through rebounds.

If you can run a TS, set your TP way up 1.6? and let your TS stop the trade.
I am running a manual TS of 50 (Oanda has no TS). This may be a blip or could be the start of another run to 1.59 - 1.6. Long, mid & short trend are up.
I would hate it if I TP'ed at 1.58 and it ran to 1.59.

Currently long in @ 1.5705 with SL 1.5715 and waiting.

I`m using a trailing SL, but I keep it a bit closer than 50 pips, more like 30-35. Guess I`m a little greedy...

Moved my TP up 100 pips further.

I really like the spirit in this forum!

EUR/USD has one more move down to the low 5600s in wave e before it rallies to a new high

this does not mean it will not go higher today but it will not make a new high yet until another drop to the 5600's
