hahahaha that actually works ? From what I've seen if you try taking trades with oanda that supposedly lag they still fill you with the final price you saw earlier, plus who knows which broker lags and which is right.. Well, that's cool anyway, good luck with that PP

I use FXClub.com (Rumus2 trading platform) and watch MetaTrader for my detailed charts. MetaTrader is, on most occasions, a second or two ahead of Rumus2. This is all the advantage I need to score a quick pip or two constantly. I am not advertising for FXClub.com in any way, shape, or form, as I have had some support issues with them, but for the purpose of scalping they are an excellent choice. And a side note, it is very rare to get this type of situation where the trading app lags the quick moves on MetaTrader (approx. 1 in 100 quote requests on Rumus2), but when it happens it is as close to "guaranteed profit" as I can get. Have a good weekend all...

If you want more information about upcoming news events (i.e. what they stand for, what data they show, etc...) you can click the little square just to the right of the News entry on the main page of ForexFactory.com. This will give you a majority of the info you need, and will allow you to do more in-depth due diligence on other websites (Google). Good luck, and welcome!

I wouldn't be looking at USD/CHF so closely for working out whats going on with the EUR/USD. The correlation isn't what it once was especially now the interest rates are nearly at the same level and might even get worse at the next FOMC meeting.

If you want to know whats going on with EUR/USD, i'd suggest having a look at Gold and commoditites, but mostly gold. Any EUR+ news isnt moving it much now.

Can anyone elaborate on the meaning of the GCC Meeting? In particular, could someone please comment on the part where it talks about specualtion over a possible move to break currency links? Thanks!

"Finance officials and central bank governors from the six members of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) will meet in Doha, Qatar to discuss the timetable for monetary union and other matters. There may be a press conference or comments from officials during the day. Comments from the GCC will be monitored closely as speculation over a possible move to break currency links with the US dollar has been important for US dollar sentiment."

EURO$ remains in the same situation as last week. Nothing has changed. If some one thinks they have a direction, there just guessing, or flipping a coin, because it is at a pivotal point where it can go anywhere, or nowhere at all.

If you have to ask, then I suggest you don't take any trades, untill you no longer have to ask this question.

Price keeps comming back to the weekly pivot, this week is 1.5712.
As long as its in the 400 pip range of 1.5500 and 1.5900 its not going to be possible to be very accurate in trading. Its going to chop up that range into undiscerning irradick trend lines, and mixed trend signals.

Words wisely spoken, Dave.

I personally believe NFP results are not necessarily priced in yet. All we got from the horrible unemployment readings was a wimpy spike. I believe that someone(or multiple someone's) wanted to make money short while everyone was sleeping on Sunday, but the gap will be filled, and the unemployment numbers would make me believe we'll see a test of high's again.

In my opinion, this is a result of higher oil prices. We are pretty reliant upon oil, and more expensive oil creates essentially more expensive everything. With our weaker dollars, this is a bit of a double whammy.

Best of luck,

Kevin

With the bigger news events coming out Thursday and Friday this week, I am expecting a mid-week directional move to setup for these releases. As for today and tomorrow, I agree with the masses who indicate that EU will range trade. Does anyone have any input on the EUR Interest Rate Decision this week? FF expecting no change, just wondering if anyone else has done more DD to get a better idea? good luck to all!

Oh, give me a home where the yen's roam
Where the euro and the dollar play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

Home, home on the range
Where the euro and the dollar play
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day

The only thing being traded here is boredom.
