higher timeframes just show u the overall trend. its true the smaller tf's show are what makes up the higher timeframes but why trade against the general trend? u know what i mean?

if 4h is up and so is the 1h but are pullin back. in that case the 15 min will be down. so why try to catch a short off the 15 min for a few pips when u can wait for teh 15 min to turn around and catch the big pips upward

hope it makes sense

eurjpy is looking down
30 min is starting to look good as well as 15 min
but the time of day and week worry me
but even with that i think its a drop starting next week
but at the moment since the 4h is in an uptrend it worries me
guys watch it carefully this one is a tad bit iffy

boxing, I'm reading and re-reading your response to get it in my head. As for as being iffy..you're right. I'm -13.5 right now.

regarding pivots itīs a bad sign that the pivot has been broken to the upside. 1hr stoch is turning up too. But i will let it run īcause 4hr seems not done yet (have to say it again...DEMO). Daily 5stoch looks like turning down too so iīm not that worried.

May I ask the size of your position ? I would feel very bad if i would have done financial harm to anybody ....

well it dropped back to 14 so its alright for now
has a chance of bringin a dozen or so by tonight so hope u guys make em
im just watchin right now. actually im bored and have nothing to do lol so thats why im still watchin charts

edit: went back up a bit again. ok im not gonna keep doin this lol but i think it could work.

This might be a critical level
boxing, so we're looking for the 5 to go the same direction then. Not necessarily for it to touch the 20?

wait for the 5 to head back in the direction of the 20
or to cross its signal line or a trendline break
whatever u think will show u when the pullback is finished

It may help if I include the 5's signal line ..trendline break< never read up on that one. I think my problem also is that I'm trying to make these trades happen. It's incredibly hard to sit and wait for the setup to come to me.

yea i personally would not have taken this trade yet unless i see the 5 crossing down or some indication of a move down. im short eurjpy but for other reasons thats why i expect it to drop sooner or later.

Alright everyone. Kudos to the system once again! Although these were both demo trades, using the system here are my results:

Short GBP/JPY = +32.6
Short EUR/JPY = +28

Now if I could only sit and wait just like that for trades to come to me all the time, I'd be awesome

I am merely young Skywalker under your tutelage Master Yoda. What I need to figure out is how you guys know what news to not trade around and things like that. I can't handle those sudden spikes up or down like I see on the USD/CHF, USD/JPY and other pairs.

When i came back i closed the position with a very small profit to see it going in the right direction afterwards .

That still sometimes happens to me. maybe i should learn to keep calm and trust the stochs even more. Iīm looking forward to see how things will go live when itīs about real profit or real loss. Might get a lot harder to stay relaxed

Hi ElChoco

In your modified method where you use stochs (20,10,12), (15,10,12) and (5,3,3) are you using HI-LO or CLOSE-CLOSE for the computation? Also, are you using SMA or SSMA for the slowing? I am just trying to reproduce your chart from an earlier post.
