How will you comment this: BAD NEWS FROM USA & USD JPY didnt even go 1 pip down after news. Think about that And BIG BANKS doesn't mean SMART ONES

Keep trying to short the euro. keep adding shorts and the banks will keep taking out the stops and keep moving euro higher.

which timeframe are you trading?

im trading dailies so there is no way i am shorting it. Although there will be a small retrace which is obvious the trend is up and this is just the beginning of a much stronger push upward from what i can currently see of the price movement.

However i am very new to trading so take what im saying with a pinch of salt.

Maybe because they're smart enough to wait for housing numbers and Bernanke to get done flapping his face.

I like to use a 4hr and 5min with a 55/200 SMA on a chart but trying to get away from charts and learning some price action methods which are working better.

Also looking at the Fed alot more and the interest rates situation. Im learning more about banks in the market and how much they control the moves and how they take out stops. Helping turn my market views around!

I'd like to see a healthy pullback to cheaper levels (1.4950) before joining the longs. I wouldn't like to hop in at the top of the breakout thrust.

I agree WTB. Banks want to sucker traders into taking longs around 1.5100 area so they can drop euro down to take out more stops. Could be options barriers at 1.5100 aswell.

Eur has established 1.5000 as the new base. 1.55 within reach in the next few months.

1.50 will have to be tested. No indication FED rates cuts are for sure. Need to wait to see how recent cuts effect markets. Even hints at inflation concerns.

oh man, that bernanke... who hired him.. bush? uhmm i see.
just hearing his remarks. different to trichet who is positive and almost always is bullish despite eurozone issues.

ben does the opposite.
he says usa economy is in real danger of destruction, (thanks to of course bush policies), that things are worse than yesterday (uhmm has not been acting to imprive the outlook?). and even threat to cut further rates.
look what happened till now.

cut rates = banks not lowering rates (greed) = more consumers inflation = less retail, home sales = falling home prices = lower gdp = more fiat = weaker usd = world start dumping dollars and threatening to price everything away of usd = usa defaulting.

another thing just noticed, when Ron Paul was going to talk, they cut the transmission and put a 20s girl to speak

pretty girl but i dont care, bet ron paul was going to give ben bennie economics 101 class.

It's funny Acid, try to relax, but I have noticed too the CNBC approach is a bunch of horse shit. They only report the spin for the day. Becareful watching that stuff, it will mess with your head

Bernanke has to answer to the banks and to wall st. On the list of importance the dollar is at the bottom, right below inflation. The Feds agenda of issues will keep the dollar bid for the next few weeks maybe more.

I think profit takers will wait for more euro/usd gains and we will see more upside even after it corrects from this weeks big moves. Banks will need to trigger stops on euro longs taken above 1.5100 so it will correct a bit but trend is still up.

i think im going to close all longs at 5174 aroundthe end of fib 38.2 (22/01/08 - 01/02/08 daily) extension. i think there maybe some retracement there which will allow me to buy into the trend at dips...i think
