Maybe we should pool our resources. Sizz -- how much do you have in your sloshed (or is that slush) fund? I'll empty my Vegas fund quicker than you can yell "Craps"! I'm sure Issy will throw in some dablooms. We'll get her did (one of my favorite Sizz quotes).

I did save as picture.

But I thought I have to upload it as a pic not an attachment and that's why I used Tinypic.

you statistics are welcome and insightful as well IMHO

and for all those that care golf was fun for about 4 holes and then it raINED A LITTLE FOR 9 HOLES.... THEN IT POURED....but we played through anyway in the rain..... real caddyshackesque ...if anyone needs a vacation come to Florida

personally I needed to take a break from the charts for a day, but rest assured I will be attacking vhands with renewed vigor

100% for me is the only option

and if I miss MY GOAL and ONLY AM ABLE TO EVENTUALLY trade 90%, well i won't be satisfied but I guess I'll deal with it

Hello All!
I've been pretty successful with the method I uncovered late last week with single candle fibs and following the consecutive candles to the TP extension. I haven't quit exploring however and found another interesting tid bit.

You kids probably saw my fib channel post. I'm still playing with the fib channels and have found that they are more indicative of market flow and work just as well as the horizontal fibs. Also this angular fib system helps you to stay out of potential bad trades when the price is nearing a swing high/low/reversal point by forcing the price to move a little higher/lower to break the 100 or 0 line and prove it's ext. hitting power.

I still use the regular horizontal (horiz) fibs because they are obviously working for everyone, but I have found that horiz are sometimes hard to trust. (sorry I couldn't resist).

Also when I was a boy and I would fail at something and in my girly boy voice say "I Gann't, I would receive a swift slap to the side of my head by my mom who would say "Don't say you Gann't, say you Gann!" I really need to stop. Anyways... I don't know how to draw single Gann lines, but I've been having a lot of success with the Gann Grid in partnership with the Fib channels.

I've attached a chart with a current setup on GBP/JPY, this morning the 38.2 ext. was hit @ 209.91 thus completing the fib channel cycle. Yes the market jumped up again but after the clean meeting of the 38.2, but for me to stay in after that would be gambling.

For tonight: The market is sticking to the Gann and now disregarding Fibman and there are several single candle cycles way down south still uncompleted. It looks like the market may use the gann line to the 38.2 line and follow it downwards. We'll see!

Your AHA moment caught my attention for some reason, so I've been reading all of your posts to see if I could put something together. I have a question ringing around in my mind.

Above you say you were not letting the fib complete itself, taking as a sell signal a new low in the fib. And elsewhere you mention completion as going to the 138 and then retracing (to the DZ, I assume?). Could you go into a little more detail into the rules you're using for fib completion?

I am shooting this up here... and because I am it will fail spectacularly.

I mumbled about patters and set ups and things I like and look for.... whiskers on kittens, balls of string just a few of my favorite things andwhat not.

I see patterns everywhere. Not when I am looking though. I would post this over on Issy's thread but well it isn't IFibs.

This is fib of a "dragons head" decending tri's whatevs ,with a fib in side of it. I take particular notice of how price is respecting the lines If this is drawn right we now have a low triggered of 107.05 and following suit 106.89 I might take 5 min fibs on the i min to let the trade ride or just set market orders and walk away who knows. all I am 'sure of" is next target is the blue tp and after teh red tp but it can range like a drunk in a blizzard in between.

Regardless, if my fibs are correct I feel good about going long on the yen for so many reasons. then I would be short or looking to short on break and or break and close already.

Now this is all IMO and if my fibs are correct it is a beautiful little play for a little scalp if not well...I blame you. Yes you. hehehe

neither of these were drawn on this time frame.

Using the 3 level ZZ semafor that places the dots seems to indicate a reversal. They correspond with support and resistance.

I'm ver klempt! I don't even know where to begin....I've been messing with this stuff (vHands) for several days, now. I've just managed to delete everything from my objects list, while trying to cancel an order (I forgot to push "Pause" so, of course I had 10 or so orders on the table - the chart is quite empty now, oh, did I mention, it still has all the orders plastered all over it...just everthing else is gone). But that's not my main problem....I look at this....this... (vHands) chart, and I don't know what I am looking at, or for, or why.....I see the candles build, and unbuild. The price line flicks around most merrily......I think to myself "wow, this is neat...what's it mean"? I have no clue.....I'm stymied.
I'm trying to read Skunny's thread, and I get diverted to Bo's thread, to Blueruby's thread,(All great Threads, mind you) to Skunny's2 template....ARRRUUGGGHH! I'm jumping around like a "hot (you know what) in a frying pan"!
I try to use the Fibonacci, but have no idea where to put it. It dosen't look, or act like I think it should....It dosen't have the numbers going in the right direction...shoot, it dosen't even have all the numbers!

j/k, what you need to do is go directly into studying "Gann" lines, that'll solve all your problems!!!!! (just kidding again)

If I was going to send someone over to this thread to start reading I would tell them to read Skunnys posts most importantly and definitely not to go over to Bo's thread just yet (more advanced stuff there) and definitely stay away from the Gann stuff for now. In the beginning just concentrate on the "basics" of what Skunny says and stay away from the posts that go into different directions. There's plenty of time to go back and re-read some of the other important discoveries people have made and posted here.

In regards to V-hands, all I do on v-hands is let it run and pause it once in a while to draw fibs. I don't do the trading portion of v-hands...........it complicates things a bit for me. Just watching price action on v-hands and watching it hit (or not hit) your fibs is enough of a study for me. I usually spend some time on the weekends using v-hands over and over again. It really is a great tool for learning to watch price and candle formations.

Hi Guys,

Maby a silly observation on my part regarding Gann, but try setting the scale for the fan to something High like 1000/-1000. It seems to 'fit'.

Im still racking my brains here, So I decided to leave the fibs for a little and play with the Gann Fan.

Once again, USDJPY hits resistance, breaks support and hits the lower fib projections.

Don't look for a system. Figure out a way you understand to measure price action. Skunny is not telling us his way of trading, eventhough he has given some clues. Skunny has provided hints on how to measure. Read, read, read, practise, etc. Find a way to get 12 pips, including 3 pips for a spread, if that is the spread on the currency you want to trade. Do that twice a day.

Hope that didn't sound too, too ......
