Not anymore.

Fed, Bush and the Congress are not in a hurry. It was clear today.

Actually, Bernanke is in a hurry: requested the stimulus package to come out fast. Like within the next 12 months.

And he's gonna cut 50bp in the end of the month and disgust the market even more.

And this is not me saying that. It is the compusive sellers today. It's not everyday that you see a +60 futures ending in a -300 close while Fed and Congress were talking about $150 billion package + agressive rate cuts.

Thinking it will be a nice short after the initial rally when he does that

Funny thing is that USD is probably going to lose on both fronts, because it cut the interest rate and because the market will say it is not enough. Can it be this easy?

It can't. Actually it will be very hard. For instance, today he mentioned agressive rate cuts and the dollar barely moved. ANd it's now going up on carry trades unwinding.

Panic took over Wall Street today. It wasn't techincal. and panic spreads across the planet.

As GJ failed its 212 resistance today, I'd say short the goddamn carry trades, get back in 6 months.

I agree. I was thinking about the same thing today. Up until this morning, the market was expecting .75 to 1% cut. After todays performance and the speech by the Fed, I don't see them cutting by more than .50 which will disgust the market. The Fed is going to take it easy and possibly cut up to 1% in two to three meetings, not all of it at once. I expect more grim days on Wall Street, which is fine by me. "Wall Street's pain is my gain".

Don't be too hasty: UJ and GJ can part ways very soon. But you are correct at LEAST on GJ I believe. Naturally, anything can happen in a few days time..I found out that some of the best bearish price action can turn into outstanding bullish patterns within a single H4 bar. We need to keep our eyes open on the majors.
