Jacko's P&P Trend Trading Method 73 replies
DislikedI'd love to see the returns over the period in %.
Given it was 10 trades at 50 pip stops each and 319 pips and assuming 1% for each trade risked, that'd be around 6.5% uncompounded?
Result charts, sheets, bring em onIgnored
DislikedActually since the full 50 pips rarely ever gets hit, Jacko recommends more risk than that -- 2-5% depending on the market (ranging/trending) and of course the comfort level of the trader.
To the members of Jacko's group who are being a bit more aggressive--do you mind sharing what that means? Where are you taking the additional trades? Are you adding to positions, trading at every round number on the way up, trading more than just the EUR/USD, using higher risk? I'd appreciate the insightIgnored

.......
A quick summary of the trading is that we had 10 trades from the commencement of the group in mid November to the end of December.
Total Profit . . 319 pips over a period of 47 days
(Maybe one of the group would like to post a chart of the equity growth using the data in the members Blog????)

DislikedI don't have a chart but I have created an Excel file where you can enter the initial deposit, the risk per trade in %, the pip value in $ and it will calculate the rest based on the P&L
Pip Value Per Lot $1
Initial Capital $10,000
Risk % for 50 pips 5%
Lots $500
Trade # Balance P&L P&L pips TS pips Lots
1 $10,000 ($60) -6 50 10
2 $9,940 $370 37 50 10
3 $10,310 ($300) -30 50 10
4 $10,010 $760 76 50 10
5 $10,770 $77 7 50 11
6 $10,847 $649 59 50 11
7 $11,496 $154 14 50 11
8 $11,650 $600 50 50 12
9 $12,250 ($48) -4 50 12
10 $12,202 ($564) -47 50 12

DislikedJust to clarify. I asked SeekingLight to post HIS charts, sheets and returns.
As one of Jacko's students, I can't figure out why would I post (or any other from the group) details of my live trading. Number of pips is enough. Percentage of the return depends on traders' individual risk and is different for each trader. Money management is not discussed with Jacko (so far).
Actually, I have no problem to post it. But I don't want to do that on a request of anonymous person hidden behind the user name "SeekingLight" who frequently speaks (write) against Jacko and his method of trading.
SeekingLight more than once stated that he doesn't like this method and therefore I can't understand reasons why he has posted and visited this thread.
I would like kindly to invite SeekingLight to avoid this thread.Ignored
DislikedIn my humble opinion the point of trading is to make "money", not pips, and money management is extremely important=seasoned trader. You are right that % of return depends on a traders individual risk. That is why one would be interested in the % gained, and that would speak much more highly of a robust and time tested system. Best pips to you.Ignored
DislikedI risk 2% of my account.
I think you didn't read carefully my post.
"Money management is not discussed with Jacko (so far)."
Therefore I wouldn't discuss MM here any more.
THIS IS JACKO's THREAD.
PS I am surprised with the number of PM sent to me supporting my post regarding SeekingLight's "contribution" to this thread. Thanks guys.Ignored
