Long from 1,4400 and got stopped out for +264pips. Happy New Year and big thanx to Jacko.
Don't you just hate it when that happens, an exact 50 pip retrace to take out the SL then off again. Oh well, can't complain!
Of course I hate it. But it is better than exit in +100pips what I used to do.
Few complaints --actually none

excellent trade there.
The 4750 range high may well resist any more of this run
for a double interim top.

nothing wrong with exiting off this low
4724 just a last fib (94.1) that may halt.
nice week ending winner.

I got out as well flat. 4715 @ 10:32 est (5 lots fr. 4440)
net on these of 215ps
--and allow some unwinding and to re-look into
the new year's directionals.

Hello Jacko, you have a really nice thread going on here. I want ask one question. Do you pay attention to other instruments like gold, dow jones index, crude oil, dollar index, usd/chf or anyting else when you are traiding eur/usd or do you have just e/u chart in front of you?

Anyone else looking to jump back in on this trend? 1.4527ish looks like a strong S/R as well as the 50 fib of this most recent surge. Then again, it recently just held at the 61.8 line which is also a S/R point (I know Jacko uses just the 50 fib, but its worth noting).

I'm sitting out right now for the possible 50 fib retrace, maybe enter again at 1.4550 for the round number + 50-fib support, but I don't know if that's due to restraint or fear...

The final option would be to enter now at 1.4600 with a 100-pip trailing stop loss and use all those S/R points as backup.

My gut says just wait until the market gets back to full strength after the New Year holiday. This market is just too thin to trend off. The real market movers will be back in play soon. Just be paitent. Of course,until I met Jacko on line I was usually wrong. I may still be.

My opinion only...today was a LOT of profit taking over the last move up from 4300 (for me 4410 by A/H strategy plus an add on at 4500). I was happy to be stopped out and flat until next setup.

i just wanna say a very big thank you to mr jacko for his kind in sharing his knowledge exspecially his anti hedging strategy...i'm using his strategy and it really worked..i'm a newbie in forex...tq mr. jacko
HELP PLEASE! My brokers do not:
1. Have a trailing pip stop loss - pip by pip after the initial move.
2. Only stays on if my internet doesn't go down, and is not on the broker's server.
CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A BIG BROKER (as in one that is not likely to go under) they like that DOES hAVE the pip by pip trailing stop that Jacko uses in his strategies?? I would REALLY APPRECIATE any recommendations.

Jacko has given me an option to trade without the stress I have been experiencing hopping from strategy to strategy, and HOPING & wondering if I'm getting out at the right time. Not to mention endless hours of watching the charts.

I WANT TO THANK JACKO, for the bigger picture he sees, communicates so well, and the faith to trust what works, AND FOREMOST for being willing to share it with less experienced traders like me with a STRONG desire to live a freer lifestyle with this BEST BUSINESS IN THE WORLD!

I use Interactive Brokers and I am very happy with them. Their commisions are good, they are one of the big boys and they have 1 pip auto trailing stops on the servers side.

The results are now in for the group's performance for 2007.

I started trading (with the group watching) in mid November, 2007. After a very slow start in November due to my being excessively concerned about the group NOT having any initial losses, we missed two excellent trading opportunities which would have been very profitable.

A quick summary of the trading is that we had 10 trades from the commencement of the group in mid November to the end of December.


Total Profit . . 319 pips over a period of 47 days

(Maybe one of the group would like to post a chart of the equity growth using the data in the members Blog????)

Given that we started very, very slowly, I am reasonably happy. ( I think a B+ for results...Could do better !!!!...LOL). However, I think that we can significantly improve on that result in 2008.

Also, it is not bad work for just looking at the market a couple of times a day and clicking a few keys on a computer.
NOTE: I am NOT a daytrader. I do NOT want to live my life chained to a computer screen.

As I said, I hope to ramp up our trading results in 2008 to my usual hit rate as I become more comfortable with the fact that others are intently looking at my trading. This made me a little bit too cautious in my trading when the group first started (which resulted in missing out on two excellent trading opportunities) but I am starting to get into the swing of it now.

My initial trading is intended to build each individual's knowledge, confidence and profits to allow expansion of each individual's trading size. Then they can stabilise at a a size that they feel comfortable with.

Finally, there are some traders in the group that have the potential to be excellent traders. Many in the group are using the strategies that I employ but are trading more actively than me, with truly stunning results. ( A person once said that an excellent trader reads a chart like a sheet of music...all the bars and dots are like a musical tune and they can hear/see where the music/ trend is going. Anything too extreme sounds/looks like a "bum" note....I believe that there are a number of people like this in our group and there are some others with the potential to get there very quickly).
These people are now starting to become comfortable with their trading and are looking to increase their trading volumes (size and numbers of contracts) in the near future.

A successful 2008 in trading to all.
