FYI, for those interested in MACD alarms, V104 of the indicator has them....

Also prints the type of MACD (RT, RB, RT, etc).... Though having this and not focusing on market motion can be hazardous....

Posted on 9/10/07 in the thread. Load it, and then left click on and change the properties, to enable (the alarms). Previous word doc I posted is the "users guide"..

Pin bar forming on the 4H USDCAD. Do I scalp long to make up for previous losses, or do I sit and watch.


Hmmmm.


The 4H 89 MA is at 1.0060 the 1H 365 MA is at 1.0042. I would set my stop loss to 1.0039 and set the Target Price to 1.0090 where the 1H 8 EMA is at.


Anyone looking to scalp this, or am I out of my mind?

Did not take it due to MACD divergence. This bear may still have legs.

But we may have a Bullish MACD divergence setting up on the GBPUSD. I will follow this pair this afternoon.

Oh, now I see. Page 395, 396. I didn't see that earlier.
I downloaded lessons part by part from other pages and there weren't wriitten copies in each lesson.
Now I've got everything. Back to reading and learning.

Looks like both the u/j and g/u have passed through the 8ema....Maybe a TC opportunity on the 21?? Eur/usd is the laggard, still sitting below the 8...

I considered riding the GBPUSD up to the 21, and then looking for a MACD signal to TC short.

But being new and getting burned this morning, I chickened out. Now I regret it, because in 30 minutes I could have made up what I lost this morning.

Oh well, I am loving this.

Yes, I agree, especially on the USDJPY. If it comes down and touches the 21 and then the MACD gives a signal, it should be a good time to go long.

At least this is what I see at this time. I am new and learning A LOT everyday.

I went and printed off the charts on Palmer's website fxtradeblog.com and started back testing since I started to loose confidence. After looking through it again and I am really noticing how much affect candles and rythm have on the market so I went to the local bookstore at lunch and picked up a book by Steve Nison on candle trading. I have a lot of reading ahead of me tonight. I feel like I am just beginning to touch the goal but it is still too far away to grasp it.

Steve Nison's book has a lot of info on candlestick formations...a lot. You can get lost in all the information there so I'd pick out a few common formations and go back to the charts...circle them, and see how price reacts to those formations. But, don't forget what the overall rhythm of the market is when you 'look back'....Glad you found the charts useful. They'll be updated with a full years worth in the next few weeks....

The Yen has been chugging along and is testing the 21 and may be setting up for an entry. I believe Ryanmcd has been banking some pips with this pair lately...Work has control of me for the next several weeks, as it has the past several weeks, so if someone else would like to chime in...

Been following the yen as well, grabbed 21 pips early this AM. Just bounced off the 21, plus a nice looking bullish candle bounce off the 1hr..

I just printed out the pictorial Glossary from the book. A picture for me, saved me the thousand(s) of words. Besides I'm still recovering from the eye strain from reading the entire thread in November!!!

BOJ announcement Wednesday night (Time is TBD). These are red in Forex Factory, not expected to act, but you never know what the "governor" might say in light of the credit crisis....

Could be an interesting night. Waiting for TC paterns is E/U, G/U and U/J
